They say that Flowers is a better pitch framer, but Kurt is by far a better hitter, and I think he calls a better game. The splits with Newk when being caught by Suzuki vs Flowers is pretty shocking really. Flowers is a backup catcher, and that's how we need to use him.

Newk: Suzuki- 2.67, Flowers- 5.57
Julio: Suzuki- 3.59, Flowers- 4.40
Anibal: Suzuki- 3.03, Flowers- 3.15

Those are the 4 current members of the rotation that have been here pretty much all year and have enough innings to have a reasonable sample size.

Kurt's is inflated a bit because of that 8th inning in Chicago when the pitchers couldn't feel their fingers and allowed 9 runs.
