Oh, and Kelvin Herrera is done for the year. I was pissed when we let the Nats beat us to him, but boy am I glad we did. Venters and Brach have both been better, and now he's on the DL and walks after the season.

If we go after Grandal or Realmuto, this makes sense IMO.

He'll be in a true backup role, and the main thing you want out of your backup catcher is defense, and Flowers is better defensively than Zuk.

When you're hot, you're yot. Flare over short, a bunt single and a sac bunt set up the run. I didn't mind the walk. I think they should have intentionally walked him. Didn't work out, but I like having a chance at a double play with the catcher at bat.
