starting to feel really good about the future. splitting w/ Cincy and a series loss to Philly would have really bummed me out, tbh. good to see the team bounced back and took a tough series on the road.

I didn't get to see a single pitch of the series. Just got home from Talladega. But, another series win against the Phillies. This one on the road.

We already have as many wins against the Phillies as we had all season last year.

I looked at the box score of all the games. Albies and Acuna still bringing it.

I've watched most of the games the last few years, but this is the most optimistic I've been in a long time, and the first time I feel like I can see the light at the end of the rebuilding tunnel.

But, TBH, I'm not crazy about the lineup change. As long as it's working, I won't complain, but if we're gonna bat Ender 9th, I'd rather Markakis bat second and bat Acuna cleanup. Markakis really has the perfect skill set for a 2 hole hitter. He puts the ball in play, and knows how to protect a runner. And Acuna provides better protection for Freeman.

And we haven't been 5 games over .500 since 2014.

Also Johan should 100% be our starter going forward at 3B....Bautista will do nothing but destroy our team chemistry.

If the offense is producing, I'm fine with whatever configuration, but Ender-Albies-Freeman-Acuna is my preferred route.

And Johan should definitely be our every day third baseman. And if we're gonna do the pitcher bats 8th deal, I wouldn't mind Johan batting 9th.

Flaherty is a good bench option, but he's a bad option as an every day third baseman.

And Bautista is a 37 year old guy that barely cracked the Mendoza line last season. If he's not fine with taking a low key bench guy/pinch hitter/DH role, then fuck him. We don't need him.

The only thing he's better than Camargo at is power hitting, and at this point in his career, Bautista isn't close to an elite power hitter anymore, and the rest of the body of work more than makes up for it.

Camargo can pick it with the glove, he's a switch hitter, that has come up big in clutch spots and can run.

I'm excited to finally get to see him pitch, I just wish his debut didn't have to be against a team ahead of us and against Jacob deGrom.

Given Sanchez's history of injuries, Soroka/Allard/Gohara will likely take over the 5th rotation spot, and McCarthy has been better than expected, but he's another that is a ticking time bomb for injuries, so I could see at least two of them getting significant time with the big club this season.

Hope I'm wrong, but with Syndergaard on the mound for the Mets, I don't like our chances with a guy making his debut.

Soroka is a sinker baller? That would play really well at STP, especially with our infield defense when Camargo is in there.
