Yup. Read his "metrics" have been unlucky or something on balls in play. He normally hits lefties well, which is what we need him for. I was surprised to learn he is a + defender.

We did what I thought we would do I just thought we would win game 1 and lose to Scherzer.

That was a hell of a lot more interesting than it needed to be,.but it got the job done.

Huge win.

At the start of the day, I would have gladly taken a split in the double header. We lost the game I expected to win and won the game I expected to lose.

We're sitting is great shape to earn at least a split.

The pitching matchups are in our favor in each of the next two games.

Really, there's been two games that I would say were must wins this season. That last game in Fenway against Sale and tonight. Folty and Newcomb stepped up huge in each respectively.

They say he's a great defensive player, which surprised me too. I guess I just assumed he was your prototypical low average, high home run total doofus stuck in left field in the NL because there's no DH. I was wrong there.

Though, he and Ender need to work on communication if they're ever on the field together again. From the sound of the radio, they had a few issues in game 1.

I hope Snit and AA decide to scrap that plan of only playing Ender against RHP, Duvall aint worth it.

Parsons and that other guy they called up are gonna have to stay up at least through tomorrow.

Biddle and Luke Jackson for sure won't be available. Venters and Minter are questionable.

Unless I'm forgetting someone, Brach is our only regular reliever that didn't pitch today.
