Good ol' Broussard. I stopped following his nonsense on Twitter. Sounds like TT is willing to sign that 3/$53mil deal except there's no 3/$53mil deal on the table.

now lets just hope the Cavs are willing to and finalize the 3 year deal.

That is AMAZING (considering it looks like 5 years 94 was a firm ask from what it appeared) if they get him for 17 a year for ONLY 3 years. It could not work out better.

This gives Cavs the exact thing they want- flexibility going forward.

This is so much less risky giving Thompson a 3 year deal than a 5 year deal. After 3 years the cap is going to be humongous- and Kyrie will be 25/26. Love about 29/30 and LeBron 33---- AND they will have room to add a major free agent if they keep the rest of the books relatively clear and make sure the deals expire at the same time. IF Thompson proves to be that guy thats a max worthy guy and they are coming off of 2 titles in 3 years GREAT- if not- then they can bring someone else in to play with LeBron/Kyrie/Love.....thats when the deals Kyrie and Love signed will look REALLY REALLY good.....

Id rather give him 19 a year for 3 years then 17 a year for 5 just to mitigate the long term risk.

Please get it done at 3 years 17 a year....

Please stop.
He's not worth close to 17-19M.
Now "you'd rather"?
As I said all along, he was risking nothing because James can make Gilbert jump through hoops and that's exactly how it played out.
He's getting what he's worth over 5 in 3.

James prob told him to accept 3 cause by then he'll be long gone and then Tristan can join him somewhere else or at least get out of that hell hole.

The Milwaukee Bucks had a new multi-million dollar arena approved yesterday.

No chance.
Bitter about what?
Just facts.
James owns Gilbert.
Think about.
He's making near identical money to Kyrie.
Let's pretend Kyrie can stay healthy.
If that's the case he's levels above the talent of Tristan.

If Kyrie had Paul for an agent, James would have never allowed/convinced Kyrie to accept that deal last summer.

As a Cavs fan whose not paying him, sure you should be glad.., but that's not the discussion.

This is EXACTLY what I think is happening. They have the same agent and probably will both jump ship to the same team when this team implodes (my guess would be due to injuries).

Impossible. Wiggy says this team is perfectly healthy, including glass...err...Kyrie.

Back to Milwaukee; It's good to see them get an arena deal. I think the Bucks might be my team this year.

The Cavs would be lucky to only pay him the qualifying offer this year.

You can get a guy who is only a good rebounder for much cheaper.

Agreed.

I plan to watch as many Bucks and Timberwolves games as I can.

Ditto for Utah.

All three Teams have a ton of young talent and should be fun to watch.
