It boggles me that he is ok with his "girlfriend" sleeping with black folks but he doesn't want them at his games... He is cool with them railing her brains out for him to get sloppy seconds but not ok with them spending money at his events? That confuses me.

The angle nobody is seeing here is he told her to f magic johnson, a man that has or had aids.

Still say, she was sucking that out of him, she kept pushing and pushing to get his reaction on tape. The angle of he asked her to record conversations because he is old and forgets what he tells people is hard to believe, but nothing illegal in doing what he told her to do.

People are saying if Magic buys the clippers, this could be fixed really quick.

My question still lies, if she was posting pictures with magic, that must mean she talked to him, what if this is a ploy to get the price down on the price to buy the team?

What's baffling about this deal to me is WTF does Sterling care about who comes to his team's games unless there was some type of thug or gang element he wanted to steer clear of. The mere fact of mentioning Magic tells you that it was strictly a race thing with him.

Sold...I agree. There's really no way to gloss over this without further damage being done to the franchise. I agree with JDM in that they can't force him to sell, but they are going to put the ball in Sterling's court by fining/suspending him and that's all that's needed...watch the season ticket holder base plummet. He's a real estate guy right? As he sees the value shrinking he'll sell.

No, they can't. There are agreed upon rules contractually in place on what can warrant penalties. A private conversation is extremely unlikely to be included in those rules, and it shouldn't be.

The owner's cannot just make up rules. The rules are already in place and agreed upon. Equally importantly, the owners would not (even if they could) set the precedent allowing themselves to be punished for conversations they have had completely in private.

They are welcome, but she is his mistriss and bringing them, taking their pictures and posting them on instagram is linking those black people to him because they have been and are a couple. What he is really saying - is he does not want to be associated with any blacks in his social or private life because it is embarrassing to him. The only way that could be an embarrassment is because his friends and family in his private life are also racist and they were giving him shit over it. As far as he is concerned - do what you want, but don't bring them around me(Donald Sterling)

She knew that he was a racist when they first go together but she didnt care about it (or atleast put up with it) because sterling was a billionaire and she was enjoying his riches. but when they started fighting and sterling was about to kick her to the curve she SET HIM UP, she recorded the whole conversation and im sure there was someone next to her coaching her on what to say. Then she takes the recording to TMZ to get a nice pay day (which from what ive herd is anywhere from 500k-1mil)

For example: When the Chicago bulls were still playing - it came out that Dennis Rodman wore women's panties - no big deal because no one consider the players to be that moral. When it came out that Marv Albert was doing the same thing - He got fired because of the image.

In this case, yes the conversation was private and yes it was illegally recorded, but when the immoral actions you commit become known widely known - if there is a good moral clause in the agreements - you're screwed.

Employers having that contract is not out of the question. Owners having that in their contract is absurdly unlikely.

It's not quite as bad. Slaves weren't given Ferraris, Bentleys, & $1.5 million apartments. Don Sterling is no doubt a racist dick head, but not as bad as what slave masters did.

They should absolutely suspend him. Freedom of speech does not mean that you are not subject to the consequences of your hate filled speech. The NBA is trying to market and sell a brand and the last thing they need is an idiot like Sterling stinking up the place. Hell, even State Farm and Virgin Airlines have suspended sponsorship.
