Be careful what you wish for here. Decent RBs are a dime a dozen, but there are only 5 or 6 elite ones. Unless his obvious injury that the Rams covered up (and should be fined for) is chronic and could affect him going forward.

Gurley has put it out there that he's fine. Making the kind of coin he's getting ready to make next yr...he's smart not to bitch about his lack of touches...McVay just botched up the SB game plan.

Trade Gurley? It wouldn't be at the top of list, but if someone called with a good offer, I would consider it....The contract obviously ramps up big time next yr, but like I was saying back when he signed and all the Bell chatter surrounding it...there's a lot of roster bonuses on his deal...$22.5 mil worth.

RB is one of a handful of positions where you do not need elite talent to win consistently...a good OL, decent RB, and a good QB I would take that option 100% of the time.

Likewise you can't dispute what Michel did as a rookie, coming off a major injury on a team with 4 RBs.
I just think it would be intetesting to see what he would've done on one of those other player's teams for 16 games.
Not saying he's the next Gurley but he does deserve mentioning.
Maybe part of it is me having to eat crow as I thought it was a waste of a draft pick?

I like him, think is is good and think he may someday be in or at least approach that top group. But, the Pats cycle through backs and always seem to have a guy that puts up numbers even when we know they the same guys don't really do so on other teams. My point is that he can't be put in that group right now, not that he may not someday be there.

Gurley's signing bonus has been paid. That money is gone. Gurley is due a total of $18M over the next 2 years. $12.5M of that amount guarantees in March. I don't see the Rams dumping Gurley before then unless they believe he has a potentially career-ending injury. If they believed that they wouldn't have allowed him to play on Sunday.
