Called this before the season started (course didn't think the Rams would make the SBOWL either, so...). With the RIDICULOUS contracts they gave Donald/Gurley, when Goff is no longer a rookie, that roster will be constrained. Goff has one year left, then when he resigns Gurleys cap hit balloons to $17M while Donald is $25M. They'll have $65-70M+ (with a favorable Goff slow cap hit) locked up in 3 players. OOF. Hopefully they nail the drafts.

In any event, it's fairly obvious the Rams basically went ALL in for 2 years while Goff was on the cheap where they thought San Fran/Seattle/Arizona would be in rebuilds... and were right for doing it (Seattle was not expected to do nearly as well). It's not a bad plan honestly but they should trade Gurley asap if they think his health is in question. I think the Rams will struggle in a couple years though (pending if Goff - if he legit goes on the HOF track it doesn't matter) unless they start plugging in some younger guys and I doubt Suh resigns given where they are.
