Might be able to lure a better coach once they can recruit. Maybe not a big name, but a young guy that want to prove himself. I see that heppening over the next few years too. Good young coach, comes in and does well, gets sniped by bugger program that can pay more.I hear you, I just hope it works out for Sanchez, I know he has roots to the city and all.
But once you get the facility and the Stadium plus the talent and their still not winning games, people get a little pissy to ax the coach and find better .
Well ... Obviously its been disappointing the results have been straight up bad. We are caught in the middle a little bit because we won't be able to bring in a big name coach just won't happen. So we get stuck with mediocre at best and taking shots on guys.@Peter Gozintite @mcnabb7542 @unlvmariners
Why the hell is Sanchez still the Rebels coach? 17-34 in his 5th year. When will UNLV figure out just because he had success @ Gorman that doesn't mean he knows what he's doing on the college level? And his record shows it. He'll never be the coach to turn them around.
Odd they fired Menzies before he could properly clean up Rice's mess yet they don't seem to have a problem with how lousy of a coach Sanchez is.

I am willing to give him a shot for a bit longer because I am curious what the new facilities can do with the program. It should help and I don't see how it couldn't. Also I think he brings a positive culture/vibe that is attractive to players. I don't think it makes sense to move on from him at this point right before all the new facilities arrive just to move on to another piece of crap.
just my thoughts, I get the frustration because its been just as shitty as it has in the past. They just don't win.
Whats that got to do with the basketball game?I heard Sam Boyd is in trouble. Just no reason to have it.
Whats that got to do with the basketball game?
They look really good tonight. Cough Otz has got a good system. Donnie Tillman looks like a fucking beast.
You could have been nicer about it... meanie!
IPFW Mastadons 71 UNLV 86.
Great game for the rebels. Tough game coming up in Kansas State.
Donnie Tillman is a beast, on both sides of the floor. Team looked great on defense, and was efficient on offense. One of the most encouraging things was they acvtually made their fucking free throws!!! Jonah Antonio was leathal from 3. Blair and Hardy were driving to the hoop, and I know you guys arent going to believe me, but it seemed like everyone knew what the fuck they were doing. I know!!!
Here I go getting excited again. Im going to the K state game on Saturday.
They looked like a basketball team.ESPN 3 Has the game, ( gotta look to see if I have that shit on my Direct TV)
I just want them to compete! Plain and simple, let Otz bring in his type of players and lets see how this goes.
They looked like a basketball team.
Yeah, i get that. They also led the game 85 percent of the way too. They played hard, and fought hard, and played smart for the vast majority of the game. Im ok with that.Didn't like how regulation ended. Thought it was a wasted possession.
