Okay seriously I hope this new AD is given someone the main office some fantastic head cause for the life of me I can't understand her hires!

Now before I go full blown screw this program, this might, might be the right hire.
He's only 41 yrs old, his record at S Dakota St is kinda impressive since their not really known for basketball.

As much as I wanted a big name or established coach, this is a low risk possible high ceiling chance here.
He's gotta keep the guys their now from transferring, hes gotta build his program and recruit well.

What d you think of the new hire?

Ok, i dont know enough to have an opinion yet. I know he was an assistant at Iowa state under Hoiberg, and was one of the recruiting type assistants. I know he has been really good at South Dakota, and if he can recruit there, here should be easy. I know he played pg, and likes to push tempo, and can actually coach a little. I know he isnt a defensive minded coach, and wants to win by simply outscoring. I havent heard him say 3 words. I need to see more

The one thing I know will drive me up the wall is the whole “half ass defense”! I know when Tark came to town he was all for the whole run and gun offense but he also ran into Gurk and he brought in that fantastic defense that UNLV was really famous for

Here is the other thing about this hire that bugs me, University of Washington went back east two years ago and talked Hopkins into leaving his assistant gig at Syracuse to take over cellar dweller program in the PAC 12, why wouldn’t they (UNLV) try the same route instead of laying up and taken the first guy through the door?
