With a back like Gurley, Wentz will be able to push the ball down field off play action. I think they gave up a ton, but they are getting a stud. Now, if they take Goff, fire everyone

Whether it's pro Wentz or Goff...How people can be so decisive between the two is not registering with me.

Wentz is a little bigger, maybe more mobile, but both seem to have the arm, intellect to play the position...I think these guys are going to need plenty of coaching up to be effective QBs...I like Wentz a little better because of his size/mobility, but it's almost 6 or half dz to me.

But let's look at it for a minute: what if the Rams shop that #1 now?????

Granted they gave up a well a shit load, what if they panic now and start shopping it ?

Then heads roll.

I can't wait for it to come out now that Goff has a coke problem and Wentz kicks puppies.

Isn't that basically the plot of the movie "Draft Day"?

I think 3 years from now, he's better than either. JMO. Gurley will be enormous for his development
I agree. I think the Rams take Goff at #1. He comes from a pro style offense and IMO, he is the best QB in the draft. The Rams are taking a big chance with this trade, but they need a QB to compete in the tough NFC West.

That likely means there was at least 1 more team bidding with the Rams for the #1

Jon Robinson claims there were at least "a couple" of more.

I disagree. Wentz is a couple inches taller, 30 lbs heavier, a better athlete, a stronger arm, and for all the NDS Comp level, he was a star SR bowl week .He needs a year and a half to two years to learn the game, but hid talent is all you could ask for .

Not only is Goff not the physical specimen Wentz is, he is a system QB who played terrible against the tougher teams on Cal's schedule .Not saying he will never be a starter, but I think he's going to be limited to a west coast scheme to have any success

Not to mention you'd have to likely overpay a bit to fall past about 8.

That's where the last of the top-ish tier ends.

Yeah, you're almost guaranteeing taking second-best at the position you targeted.
