We haven't seen standings that look like this for awhile:

AFC East

Buffalo (1-0)
Miami (1-0)
NYJ (1-0)
New England (0-1)

Some crazy games for sure! Love seeing the Chiefs and Raiders look bad. We'll see what San Diego looks like tomorrow but based on week one, they may be the only team in our division to give us a serious challenge.

Knowshon Moreno looked like a stud in Miami today. I surely hope we don't regret letting him go. Man, do the Patriots look beatable right now! It's only week 1 and they were on the road but it couldn't have started better for the Broncos with some of our division and conference rivals.

Right now, I just hope the Broncos don't follow the same trend of looking rusty and/or letting an inferior opponent bring it to them. I'm still confident but the only thing that matters now is the Broncos taking out the Colts tonight. Combining the early game results with a convincing Broncos victory tonight would make this week 1 truly feel like Christmas Day! Go Broncos!!!

He really had a fine game. I didn't expect that at all. Second huge game in a row against the Pats.

Colts delay of game penalty costs the Broncos 20 or so yards. I'll comment more on this later.

I would have liked to see us run the ball 3 times with a 1st and goal at the 3. Oh well.

Looking good so far. Sucks that we gave up a TD though.

We will need to do better running the ball up the middle - not necessarily in this game, but as the season progresses. I would love to see us pound the ball at Seattle in 2 weeks.

WTF was that defense on Allen? Colts right back in it. Need a nice drive here to finish this game off.

The win is nice, but it is somewhat disappointing to have allowed the Colts back in it. The Colts played a heck of a second half and the game unfolded much the way the game between these two teams did last year. The defense had its moments in the second half, but I'd be lying if I said the final score of 24 points didn't bother me. Heck, when the score was still 7 for the Colts I was disappointed.

Well a win is a win. The defense gave up way to many passing yards in the 2nd half. The running game still needs alot of work. The o line as well had to many missed asssignments. This game shouldnt have had to come down to a 4th down play to hang on. Denver does miss Welker as well. The offense in the 2nd half just brutal. Well time to get ready for K.C. Go Broncos!!

Yeah, that was a disappointing 2nd half for sure. The Colts are a good team, but we dominated them in the 1st half. We should have at least played them even in the 2nd half, if not continued the domination.

Manning and the offense seemed to lose a bit of focus as the Colts began to rally. He missed on some passes and the receivers dropped some passes that hit them in the hands. Defensively, we let up too. I attribute all of this to coaching. They have to set the tone and the mentality that the players approach the whole game with. Seattle wouldn't be the #1 defense if they played prevent defense. They go after offenses aggressively and they don't let up at all. Their mentality is what makes them so great, and they get that from their head coach. That mentality is what the Broncos need.

Having said that, our DBs made more pass break-ups tonight than I ever recall seeing. That was fun to watch, and is a good sign of what kind of talent we have. Can't wait to see how good this defense can be.

Yeah I would have to agree with Hutch. Iam going to give Denver a pass on this one mostly because the first game of season is so unpredictable( we saw taht today), but as long as I`ve watched this game. The unpredictable happens much more than the predictable, untill at least after game 4. So, I won`t harp on the lack of running game which the blame goes to the O- line ( no push of the line of scrimmage and lack of running lanes) or Ball seeming to look more like his first 10 games as a rookie where he was tenative and lacked the vision that he had in last 6 games or Manning and wrs being totally out of sync in 2nd half. I was very surprised with the rollercoaster of emotion from both sides but esp the off. Going to say we got a W and that`s big and that they`ll eventually mesh and by wk 4, we`ll see a different more motivated and aggressive team esp on the O-line and also hopefully they`ll figure out you have to play 4 qtrs and take pride in making a statement. You talked the talk in the off season, time to own up to it.

Another thing to consider is not every team is capable of making a run at Denver the way the Colts did. The Colts offense, while not explosive, is relentless. It is very difficult to stop once it gets rolling. That is not the case with a lot of the opponents we will face this year. For example, next week if the Broncos get a 24-0 jump on the Chiefs and the game comes to a late 4th down attempt I'll be worried. As for now I am only slightly miffed.

Glad we won of course, but we got soft in the 2nd half. Something we've seen quite a bit over the past few years. It's so frustrating when our offense goes from 100MPH in one half to stuck in the mud in the 2nd. Eerily familiar.

Oh well.....can't complain about being 1-0. Luck got hot in the 2nd half and made it interesting, though. That guy is gonna be the best in the league within' the next couple years.
