Same here. I haven't heard one single Seahawks fan say anything like, "We won the Super Bowl, but it isn't as satisfying as it should be because the Broncos had so many injuries..." Nobody cares about our problems and I sure as hell don't care about any other team's problems.

:10: This. I don't understand the "I want to beat them at their best" mentality. I don't care if a team is healthy or banged up, I just want to win. Injuries are a part of the sport. Everybody deals with them. Beating a banged up team doesn't make it less of a win.

I will be very disappointed if we give up even close to 35 points. I know that Luck is a very good qb and that he has some forformidable weapons, but I expect our pass rush to dominate the injury plagued Indy line.

I'll be disappointed if we give up more than 20....

No doubt. I understand that nothing is given, the Colts have some good players on offense, and they are capable of putting up points on any team in any given week. Still, we devoted a lot of resources to improving our defense and we have a number of very promising young defensive players. Won't be the end of the world if the defense isn't hitting on all cylinders in its first game, but this looks to me like a very favorable matchup.

I normally don't attempt to predict scores (and I'll probably revert back to that after this), but I'm thinking something like 41-17 good guys win.

I won't be disappointed if they give up more than 20 points just depending how those points are scored. I expect early on in the season for there to be some communication problems. Especially have to think Harris has barely practiced with the starting unit that now features quite a few new players. I expect one big communication error in this game that costs us a touchdown. Just trying to be a bit reserved in my thoughts on this defense to start off. Throw in we are playing against a pretty darn good quarterback and some pretty decent WR/TE's for the Colts.

Also say late in the 4th quarter we have only given up say 14 points but then they score some garbage time points when we are in prevent then I will be a bit more understandable of us giving up a few more points. I hate the idea of going to prevent defense but I do understand why teams do it. I just liked in the San Fran game in the preseason that we kept fighting to preserve the shut out.

20+ points any given week against a good team especially is not a problem for me. But one thing I'd like to see is the total points against for the regular season be no more than 20 PPG. I'd really like to see it under 300 and I believe that's a strong possibility with the defense we have assembled here, but in today's NFL an average of 20 PPG is still a pretty impressive defense.

I agree with this. If the Broncos are ever shutting an opponent out midway through the 4th and turn off the pressure I'll be disappointed. The last real shutout the Broncos had was a 27-0 blanking of the Jets in 2005. Read that again: 2005. This team is due to shutout one of its opponents.

I`am with ikftll on that I want to see a dominant D and a good rushing attack this yr more than anything else. Throw in ST play as well. I would love to see Denver throw a shut out on Indy. Wouldn`t that just make a huge statement and scare the crap out of the other teams on their sched? I know.... but, don`t tell me you guys haven`t thought that/wished it would happen,etc......:)

Of course I would love to see a shut out! Nothing says domination quite like that of a shut out by the defense. I could see this defense accomplishing that but probably not game 1 of the year with so many new moving pieces and Von and Chris coming back from injury.

So some cool stats heading into this Sunday...

1) maybe this one isn't so cool but Peyton has only 1 team in the league that he has never beaten...The Colts of course. Time for Peyton to make it all 32!

2) The Broncos have the best record in the NFL in home openers with 86.7% of them being a win.

3) Peyton has won his season opening game something like 9 of the last 10 times.

Couple other little pieces of information that I have seen this week...Cody Latimer is rising quickly in my book for player I am most excited to see over the next couple of years. This week at practice he has been staying after to work with our very own Rod Smith on route running and little technique things. Who better to ask than the best UDFA WR in NFL history who had to work his butt off to become the receiver he was.

I think Colts could be in trouble with most of the O-line hurt. Denver should be able to stop whatever run game they have and then be able to tee off on Luck. I would say they`ll be tergeting their Tes alot in this one so good chance we see Ward involved there alot. Indy`s D although not shabby, didn`t improve much in off season/ draft and their missing Mathis I believe for this one also. I would think we`ll see a nice mixture of run and pass in this game and a rather convincing beating. That by the way is not a prediction!!!! I`am not doing those anymore. Just saying..JK ( last time I say that too:))

Sounds like Ronnie Hillman is in the dog house once again. His "illness" in Dallas sounds like there was more to it and sounds like there is a chance he doesn't even suit up this week.

I'm on the same side of the fence with B-rok, I prefer the other teams (and of course ours) to be fully healthy, to see where we really stand in comparison. And these days, I pretty much expect a victory every time, so it's not like I'm hoping for any advantage we can get. The Broncos are at the top of the heap right now. Bring 'em on, and let 'em bring their "A" game - it won't be enough.

There are certain teams I could give an F less if they were healthy or not, I just want the Broncos to destroy them unmercifully each and every time they play (ahem Raiders, Chargers, and now the Seahawks).

P.S. Go fuck yourself Richard Sherman.

I read that he and Webster went out to a Strip Club the night before the Dallas pre-season game. All I got to say is if Hillman does not feel Bibbs breathing down his neck for that roster spot, he should. I personally think Bibbs is the more talented of the two.

Haha yeah I read those iknowftbll yesterday. I loved the ones where they called a Bronco fan smug for picking the Broncos to win the game at home. Heck I've seen most Colts writers actually pick the Broncos in this one yet a Bronco fan does it and it is smug.

I actually went to a Colts message board and they were saying they have no clue how the Broncos beat them as they are superior at almost every position. They listed QB, RB, WR, TE, DL, LB, Corner, and I think Safety. The only position they gave us was OL. They said something along the lines when it came to Corner in Talib is overrated and that they had never even heard of this Chris Harris guy so how good could he be? Well I think they are about to find out how good he could be. I don't think they will not know him after tonight!

I'm just ready for some actual football that counts for our Broncos and to see this defense unleashed! I'm betting it was pretty darn hard for Del Rio not to want to show off his new toys and defense in the preseason. Now he finally gets to show the world what he has.

Yeah, I was a little amused as well when they compared DL and called it a wash. Even better was the claim they were better at WR. I certainly do not begrudge anyone for having confidence in their team or the men that team has selected to go to battle, but don't dismiss us as "arrogant" or "smug" when you are guilty of it yourselves.

Predicting a Colts blowout win over the Broncos in Denver? Gimme a break.

I have a lot of confidence in our defense in this one and believe the Broncos take it in a decisive win. The score I picked was Broncos 34, Colts 17. We'll see if I am close.

Besides a Denver win I want to see the Broncos dominate up front on both sides of the ball. If they do that it should be a Broncos win. Go broncos!!

Watching the early games right now and have to say so far things are going well for the Broncos and they have yet to even play. Chiefs and Raiders look like they are going to lose and Patriots are losing by 10 to Miami! Now watch after I type this they all make some ridiculous come back but have to say I am very surprised by some of these early games and how they have gone. The NFL every year before the season looks like the same teams will stay at the top to only see a bunch of teams rise up out of nowhere to be scary.

Some crazy games for sure! Love seeing the Chiefs and Raiders look bad. We'll see what San Diego looks like tomorrow but based on week one, they may be the only team in our division to give us a serious challenge.

Knowshon Moreno looked like a stud in Miami today. I surely hope we don't regret letting him go. Man, do the Patriots look beatable right now! It's only week 1 and they were on the road but it couldn't have started better for the Broncos with some of our division and conference rivals.

Right now, I just hope the Broncos don't follow the same trend of looking rusty and/or letting an inferior opponent bring it to them. I'm still confident but the only thing that matters now is the Broncos taking out the Colts tonight. Combining the early game results with a convincing Broncos victory tonight would make this week 1 truly feel like Christmas Day! Go Broncos!!!
