Home and home against Montreal starting tonight in Montreal followed by back to back games against the Red Wings and Rangers. This week should be a good test for the Devils and I'm looking to come away with at least 5 points. I'd imagine Marty starts tonight and Electric Schneid gets the start Wednesday.

It's possible, I just figured Marty and Montreal go hand in hand. Although I believe he stated that the importance of playing in Montreal has lessened since his father passed.

I'd understand that Marty getting in on the 2nd of back to back however Cory had a day of rest and has been solid, very low GAA avg... he's not a Hedberg, he's young and good, he needs the reps...

plus with his recent "comment", i'd play him to be on the safe side...

Marty is going tonight pdb said that even before the buffalo game. I don't care when he plays I want Schinder in goal Saturday night. Have him get a real taste of the rivalry

Yuck, I don't know how many times we can say this, the Devils were the better the team, the Devils controlled play, the Devils should've/could've/would've but didn't win the game. Thoughts:

1: Still need goals, can't say it enough, a million chances and they can't capitalize. Ryder finally got one so hopefully he can work off of that. Brunner needs to start scoring, he showed some offensive flashes and actually seemed like he had a pulse at times but that doesn't change the fact he's not scoring.

2: I do not care for Zidlicky. He's a liability in his own end, can't hold the zone on offense and is a turnover machine in the neutral zone. Fuck em.

3: If not for injuries, and even despite injuries, Josefson might've played himself out of the lineup. He was largely responsible for the final 2 goals. The 3rd goal was more of a group effort with nobody having the sense to slow down play but he was right in the mix there.

The GW for MTL was just on the end of a good scoring chance sequence for the Canadians... so much excitement and rushes in our end, I couldn't fault Marty so much cuz that was just close call after close call....

I'm pretty much done with Brunner... i don't see him as a part for the team moving forward.... Bring up Matteau or Boucher.....

i know we should've stayed with Corey... jk...kind of...

this team isnt getting blown out every game. they are in these games a goal here and there makes the difference. gotta get some scoring in here asap.

GW goal and everything after pissed me off considering atleast one icing should have been called an then lets not forget what happened to Jagr and later Ryder that the refs decided to ignore

Agree JJ was awful, Brunner looked better but he's got to start potting some. Boucher has 18 points (10 goals) in 21 games and has 4 goals in the last 5. Let's give the kid a chance!

And I'm splitting hairs here since he's a 4th liner and who cares but why Sestito over Matteau as the call up? I understand long term you don't want a prospect playing 4th line minutes but for a game or 2 until guys get healthy why not?

i never understood the 4th line thinking of playing only 5mins a night. sure a guy like cam jam give him 5 mins but if you have player with "skill" plug them in there during different situations. hell brunner should be getting 5 mins a night if its a performance thing

He said he was happy to be back up, and that he was really surprised about the call up. pointed out that the other players have been better than him down in Albany.

You can tell that he thought the other guys were gonna get called first though.

I think this is the game that if he plays well he can really steal some starts from Marty going forward. 2 straight wins for him and Marty coming off a loss.

If Cory does his thing against the Habs I think his days of wondering why he isnt getting more playing time will be over.
