the rankings before those classes were also well well out of the top 10-15. I agree with the small classes they took will catch up, however right now with the portal being the portal plus Grad Transferring.. that could very well save them if need be.In addition to what you say, they have overcome terrible roster management. Clemson's numbers in 2017 and 2018 classes were they had only 14 and 17 players. That's 31 in 2 years when the norm would be to take 50. That's like giving yourself self-imposed penalties and scholarship reductions. And, it's hard to catch up. In 2019 and 2020 they had 29 and 23. The luck they have had with no serious injuries or attrition is incredible. It helps that they play in the ACC, but the 2017 and 2018 classes may catch up with them over the next 3 years unless they continue to get lucky with injuries. Their 2020 class was really, really good, but the 2019 was just ranked 10th. The 2017, 2018, 2019 classes could be problematic in the future.
