@MilkSpiller22 playoffs are not normal. If so power ranking would be the norm which it is not. 3 of our 6 playoff teams come from power rank.

Week 13 playoffs: added insurance to ensure playoff rosters are at full peak not chancing any NFL teams resting players and we can't control injuries but further you play into the season possible injury(s) continue to pile on.
And finally less is more. Which the nfl got away from that golden ticket by playing crap Thursday night games.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry let me rephrase that... I love how your league DECIDES who makes it to the playoffs, and LOVE the reseeding... But the actual playoffs is pretty normal...

I still don't understand(or maybe just don't like) that you start week 13... Does your league end after week 15?? or do you use 2 week finals??

I do like 2 week finals, but I do prefer the second week to be week 17...

@MilkSpiller22 the season is over after the week 15 games have played. Go enjoy week 16, 17 and the NFL playoffs. However, since you mention a two week finals I will look into that type of system. Never thought about that before. I enjoy brainstorming.... Keep them coming.

We have been constantly battling the week 16 vs week 17 'ship. We have always used week 17. Most of my frustration from the topic comes from 2 things (I am, and always have been pro week 17, by the by).

1. It seems like owners never say anything about it until they get to the Championship game and one of their guys either sits or gets pulled at halftime or something. And then, all of the sudden, it is COMPLETE BULLSHIT!!!!!! I had one owner do a full 180 from one year to the next because of this. I should also mention that he rostered only 2 RBs for the entire playoffs and one of his RBs ended up sitting in the championship game. And it was very clearly stated (as it usually is) that said RB would not be playing the whole game. So, instead of picking up the RB's handcuff (who was available on the ww all week), he decided to start bitching about what a stupid rule it was to have a week 17 championship game (unlike the year before, when he voted for it and even said in the discussion something about, I don't see what the big deal about it is).

2. The way our league is set up has 3 divisions of 4 teams and you play every one in your division twice and every one else once. If we move to a week 16 'ship, we would have to either move the season back one week and lose 1 game against somebody, which throws off the competitive balance... realign into 4 divisions with 3 teams each... cut down our playoff system so only 4 teams make it instead of 6... or come up with some other way to make it work. One year, I laid all of these ideas out, plus about 3 different ideas to make it work (one would even make Milkspiller's head spin) and every one got shot down. So, in the end, I wasted all this time and energy for nothing. And people still bitched.

The reason I am pro week 17 is because there are 17 weeks to an NFL season, so what is the point of shutting it down a week early because SOMETIMES teams decide to rest players on week 17? Sometimes, they decide to rest them in week 16, also. I lost a playoff game one year because the 13-0 Colts decided to rest Peyton Manning in week 15 at half time. You can always tell which teams will be in the position to rest players and adjust accordingly. Imo, that is part of the strategy and adds that extra challenge. It is the playoffs, after all. It is supposed to be harder and other than that, there really is no other way to simulate that factor.
