Pretty happy with Willie's performance tonight
These are the worst strike calls I've ever seen.[/QUOTE
We were sitting almost directly above the plate in the aforementioned section 226, and even from there you could see how poorly the ump was doing. And most of the doing was done at the Rangers expense.
Bring on electronic ball/strikes for me.
Although the game was a drag and we left at the end of the 8th, I did meet an attractive lady working in our section taking food/beverage orders. So all wasn't totally lost. ha ha
I think you're right on top of it. The rotation is your proof. This team just can't get into any sort of groove... they are the epitome of a .500 team right. Dominate one night, get their asses kicked the next.
instead of bringing in medical rehab starters the Rangers need to be looking at quality long term(more than 1 or 2 years) pitchers but during the off-season we will fill the rotation with more 1 year low level(thus low production) pitchers and we will be facing another long summer of .500 or lower baseballI think you're right on top of it. and yet they continue to bring them in: 2017: Cashner and Ross.I'm pretty sure they know that.

not bad not good. The only numbers Cashner has going for him is era, his other numbers are well below average some are worst for a starter. Perez has to depend on his offense to survive and get wins. Out of his last 7 wins i give him credit for 1 maybe 2 of the wins, the other 5 or 6 belong to the teamIt will be interesting to see if we can get Ohtani to sign with us, and to me, even more interesting on how we try to develop him.
He could be a #2 start, #3 at worst, so if we got him, resign Cashner, then we'd have Hamels/Othani/Cashner/Perez and ?? How's that sound?
and other than era his stats are among the worst for mlb starters and he's our #2?Probably because the market for long-term, quality starters is the most competitive one there is (meaning: $$$) and historically shows very little ROI from a team-success standpoint.
Also, Cashner? Really? Dude is our #2 starter right now.
