No mention of Glen & Maggie's baby, she probably lost it.

The last 10 seconds of the trailer is very, very interesting.

I am guessing these are all scenes from the front 8. Good. Trying to extend the war to a full 16 episodes would be dragging it out, I think.

Some major nods to the comics there as well.

The Shiva part looks exactly like the comics.

Lots of talk about how the title "The Walking Dead" is all cleaned up...I read a few comments as to why. Also the end with Rick....that should be interesting. I have not read that part of the comics, but I know what it's about..Hoping this season is action packed and fast moving...

So how will the lawsuit effect the show? Is the show still good enough, ratings wise, for AMC to continue with it after this season? Could they just say "Fuck you, Kirkman" and cancel it? Would they own the rights, at least enough of the rights, to block Kirkman from shopping the show to another network (Amazon) if they do cancel it?

This is pretty big news. And not only for TWD and AMC. This could have implications throughout the industry.

@chf , you know anything about it?

This article covers it pretty well. They're wrangling about how costs are figured.

Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman Joins Lawusit Against AMC

'Implications throughout the industry' is probably going too far, because there's not too many vertically integrated production companies/broadcasters out there.

Finally got around to checking this show out. Watched two episodes seems pretty good.
First season was amazing. Season 2 seemed slow on first viewing, but has a lot of rewatch value. S3 was good at the front end, but the second half was a bit hit/miss. S4 was the beginning of the bottle, but it was also where one of the characters really stepped up and became one of my favorite characters ever on tv. S5+ began to get a bit forgettable.

What were the two episodes? I agree with Cal's analysis. Seasons 1 and 2 were the bomb.

I think Episode 1 may be one the better "grab you" debuts ever.

Yep. The entire first season was groundbreaking in so many ways for the TV horror genre, it's amazing when you look back at it.
