Williams was eliminated. You got to wonder if her best is behind her and we're going to see less of her playing as time goes on.

Kenin played out of her mind. If that kid can develop a better serve look out. She is moving extremely well now and is not just a baseline basher.

So that's what it takes to get you to watch Womens tennis, and womens tennis on a clay court. :)

Tennis channel coverage makes it very hard to enjoy this.

Exclusively showing fed dominate while Wawrinka/tsitipas is on

I don't remember it being this bad before.

Also, the worst thing about the FO is because they don't have lights, they have to finish everything before it gets dark.

That means there's always 2 QFs on at the same time.

Tennis Channel will sometimes do a split screen of both matches, which I don't like. I'd rather them schedule it so they're not on at the same time.

That's another reason why I wish this major had some lights and a night session, so everything wasn't so congested.

Ridiculous shot by Stan on match point to win it.

Over 5 hours

It's one of the the most incredible shots I've seen.

I didn't believe it went in, and needed Shot Spot to confirm that it was good (it's not used at the French Open, so it's only an unofficial aide).

The 2nd set by Wawrinka was like watching a torture chamber. He didn't have any easy hold games. Every hold game was a struggle, and he'd be down break points in them. He eventually lost the 2nd set.

They're getting a roof on the main court next year which means lights/later tennis or at least it should

Its also difficult to see the ball. Maybe they can change the colors a bit to make tv viewing a little better. Darken the clay or make the ball a little greenish.

It would not surprise me if the clay court major gets moved somewhere else at some point. Maybe it switchs to Spain. It would solve the issue of the short grass court season as well.

so both Fed and Nadal get tired opponents! Stan played five and Nishikori played five. Cakewalk for both? Del Po in first set vs Khachanov. Del Po in straight sets in this one.
Looks like Djokovic vs Thiem and Rafa vs Fed. This would be an awesome semis setup.

I think Serena’s intimidation and irritation after losing caused the officials to hustle Thiem out of his “bigger” interview room so Serena could fit in there?!. Serena understandably didn’t want to hang around after the loss so she ended up cutting it short and Thiem when he learned about it decided to “ when she can do it, so can I”.

Looks like a Federer/Nadal semi may be coming. Always good to see those 2 vs. 1 another. Happy Birthday to Raf as well today.

With the renovations, seems like it is at Roland Garros for good

I used to have a hard time seeing the ball too. Then when I got a HD TV in 2008, it was better. But prior to that, I'd be rewinding lots of points on the VCR, trying to see where the ball was.

When Madrid tried blue clay, I think it helped the contrast a lot. I wish the other clay tourneys would try it.

I think the AO has the best contrast, because of their blue courts.

That's great, only 1 year away. Can we get a FED vs. Nadal clash at Roland Garros next year too? In a night session?

I think Thiem is capable of winning the whole thing and it would be awesome if he wins it!! Thiem vs Nole should be an explosive semis. Fedal should be good as well and I want Fed to beat Nadal this time round given all those losses against him in the finals, but Nadal will probably win in four.

I say Nadal vs Thiem in final with Nadal winning his 18th slam simply because Thiem would be dead tired after beating Nole in five sets. Nadal winning in straight sets.

Just a feeling, but if Thiem beats Djokovic, it will be in 3 or 4 sets.

Why is it "Fedal" and not "Naderer"?

Fedal sounds much better! I don’t like either term btw.
