Tennis Channel coverage is awful.

Why do they think we want to watch the entire match of Novak/Rafa rolling their first round opponents?

Ridiculous. So many other/more competitive matches happening on the grounds but they're focus on showing a shitty match.
That is AMERICAN tennis coverage for you. Controlled by a bunch of idiots and hooligans.

I don’t expect big things from either Zverev or Wawrinka at this French Open. Del Po is dangerous on the other hand and could make a deep run.

Bouchard lost today. I know she's successful outside tennis but it'd still be nice if she went on a run during a major tournament.

Not sure why you would expect big things from Stan.

Eliminated in round 1 last year.

Outside of Madrid, he's been awful this clay court season.

He is going to have a tough task getting out of round 3 if he and cilic win their 2nd round matches.

Biggest challengers to Rafa are Novak, Thiem, & Tsitipas IMO

Millman who never won a match at the French Open just forced a 5th set with Zverev lol

I was hoping he'd win.

Nice 2 set win by Azarenka too.

Osaka was in real trouble, down a set and into the tiebreak in the 2nd set.

Nishikori vs. Tsonga tomorrow sounds great, I hope they show it.

They won't.

Rafa plays at the same time so they'll exclusively focus on Rafa destroying someone 6-1 6-2 6-4

He was in the “big four” league at one time.

Key word is at one time.

Not the same since his injuries

Last time he made it to the 2nd week of a GS event was in 2017 here in Roland Garros

It is still hard to make a ton of money playing pro tennis. They need endorsements. Pretty girls get to sell stuff and make easy money. Pays better than training and practicing after a while.

DirecTV has great coverage of slams. They have 8 channels going at once.

Man, you were right.

They waited until late in the 3rd set to switch to Nishikori vs. Tsonga, which is late in the 2nd set now.

Also, at least an hour ago, Brady vs. Cercog was a Womens match that was tied 4 all in the 3rd set.

I don't know who those players are, but isn't that the point of the early rounds of a major? To watch a tight match and see one of them fight for the win, on a big stage (a major)?

Ok, it seems like they will finally stay on Nishikori vs. Tsonga.

It's early in the 3rd, I'll pause it for now and finish it tonight.

They seem to have a pretty good Head to Head, it's 5 - 3 (Nishikori I think). Tsonga beat him at the FO in 2015 in 5 sets.

This one looks like it could be another 5 setter.

Tsonga has a kid now, Sugar Tsonga.

Lol, he's hiding the baby's face.

Here's a more recent picture.

Sergei Brugera is now Tsonga's coach. Tsonga sometimes goes without a coach, but he's back to having one now.

When Brugera and Tsonga are in person, they speak in French. When they text, it's in English, because Brugera says he doesn't text too well in French.

They have potential, but I could also see straight sets wins for Bautista Agut and Dimitrov.

Hope I'm wrong and Wawrinka wins.

True, I'm sure Bouchard isn't hurting for money. As a Canadian I'd like to see her do as well as possible both on and off the court.

Looks like the top 10 men's seeds are still alive headed into the round of 32, will be interesting to see if they keep up their good play.

She could be in the Avengers movie as a new avenger. Something along the lines of short skirt and a weapon of sorts with a handle.

I expected Goffin to do some damage vs Nadal. He is one of those with some promise among the up and coming.
