The Eagles 2004 were filthy until TO got hurt. They were rolling. Defense was beastly.
Owens came back for the Super Bowl on a miracle recovery and was killing it, but mcnabb has no heart and blew the game literally on the field.
3 teams that lost the Super Bowl?
Definitely not worried about AI taking over anything
Just wait until DSM-6 drops a disorder relating to chatbot dependence.Pff.
In a couple of years people here will be saying "but chatbot 5000 said" instead of "PFF stats say...".
Its coming and it will play a large part of conversation.
Eh. I see the chatbots replacing the Stephen A Smiths of the world. Id imagine it'll be way easier for a bot to create controversy than a consensus.Pff.

Patriots 2007 certainly was the best of this century. They still lost.I don't have time to go all the way back to 2000, but I did go back to 2013, and did a formula. Win % * (SRS + SOS) * (Playoff performance^) * (Off Rank + Def Rank#). I only used playoff teams. Here's the results:
1. 2013 Seattle Seahawks (6030.818)
2. 2014 New England Patriots (4450.545)
3. 2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3863.464)
4. 2017 Philadelphia Eagles (3755.816)
5. 2019 Kansas City Chiefs (3404.430)
6. 2016 New England Patriots (3241.980)
7. 2019 San Francisco 49ers (2797.787)
8. 2014 Seattle Seahawks (2301.008)
9. 2015 Denver Broncos (2284.268)
10. 2017 New England Patriots (1981.517)
This is not anything but throwing numbers together to have fun.
^ 1 for a wild card win, 0.1 for wild card loss. 2 for division win, 0.2 for division loss. 3 for conference win, 0.3 for conference loss. 4 for Super Bowl win, 0.4 for Super Bowl loss.
# Rankings inverted. i.e. #1 was calculated as 32.
2013 Seahawks #s - (.813 * (13.04 + 1.42) * (2 + 3 + 4) * (25 + 32) = 6030.818
Lowest Ranked playoff Teams
1. 2013 Green Bay Packers (-9.984)
2. 2015 Washington Redskins (-9.705)
3. 2016 Miami Dolphins (-7.246)
4. 2015 Houston Texans (-6.696)
5. 2017 Buffalo Bills (-6.616)
6. 2022 Los Angeles Chargers (-4.215)
7. 2016 Detroit Lions (-3.809)
8. 2021 Las Vegas Raiders (-3.493)
9. 2020 Washington Redskins (-3.355)
10. 2019 Philadelphia Eagles (-3.118)
And for those who wonder these things (I know, probably not many) - 2007 Patriots still came out over the 2013 Seahawks.
Denver’s 2015 defense WAS not better than Seattles 2013 defense…Both Seattle and Carolina being on here makes no sense. If they’re putting Seattle on here for their Defense in 2013 then you’d have to put Denver in place of Carolina in 2015 as Denver’s Defense in 2015 was better than Seattle’s in 2013.
And if you’re putting Carolina on here because of their Offense in 2015 then you’d have to put Denver on here for 2013 as their offense in 2013 was better than Carolina’s in 2015.
And you can’t even say these are complete teams not just 1 side ball because I give you the 2000 Ravens being on here. Everyone knows they aren’t on here because they were a complete team that year, they’re on here because of their Defense that year.
Yeah, sometimes the better team can lose, football being a one and done sport all it takes is an injury or 2 or just bad luck for one game and it’s over , it’s not like a series where you can have a crap game and bounce back in the playoffs…Patriots 2007 certainly was the best of this century. They still lost.
Almost every great team lost. 185 bears were previously the best of that 20 year period. They lost.
The 2011 Patriots made it to the Superbowl - they should not have.
They were an above average team at best and were helped by Belichick and Brady.......
I’d lose Seattle and NE.View attachment 328953
Start with replacing Bears and Patriots with Chargers and Rams

Im not sure about the rest of the list but I do think the 2004 Patriots are the best team since 2000. They held the best offense in the league to 3 points in the playoffs and got the NFL to look at defensive holding. Dropped 41 points on a 15-1 Steelers team. Beat what was probably Andy Reid's best Eagles team which was a 1 seed in the Super Bowl.Top 20 from finishing last week's formula all the way back to 2000, take the result however you want:
1. 2004 New England Patriots
2. 2007 New England Patriots
3. 2013 Seattle Seahawks
4. 2014 New England Patriots

11. 2001 St. Louis Rams
12. 2016 New England Patriots
13. 2003 New England Patriots

16. 2002 Oakland Raiders
17. 2001 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
18. 2012 San Francisco 49ers

20. 2006 Indianapolis Colts

2004 had to be the most top heavy year in the 'parity' era. If McNabb was slightly better than I do think they'd be a top contender for best teamCould have been a very different result in the 1 Bowl if TO was healthy and wasn't playing on a broken leg with screws in that no one said he would be ready for. Still put up over 100 yards receiving. McNabb was choking all over the field that game.
