he was only making 900K on his last contract. he was at least going to get double that to 1.8 mil. i don't think a 300K difference is going to matter much since the cap has gone up so much each year. plus, i think this could turn out to be a bargain contract in a couple years. i think that's what kenny is banking on in signing him for 4 years.

Yeah, it was interesting that it was a coin flip for Doug Maclean and the Jackets in that draft between Brule and Anze Kopitar. They decided to go with the North American guy.

I believe that Yzerman mentioned that Roloson was a lock to retire as well. and Brodeur is a lock for Devils or retirement IMO which leaves
