I won't argue that he didn't grab his neck area, but that happens after the ball already goes through his hands, so I don;t see how it interferes with his ability to catch the ball at that point?

No, that was not obvious PI, and that is why everyone is talking about how the officiating is a big problem on things like this.

The play should have been an incomplete pass with no flag at all.

If that was true, then the ball wouldn't have been placed at the 1 yard line. The flag was thrown in the end zone, so according to you, the wrong call was made, and the Pats got the benefit of a bad call.

Then the call was wrong. As I said I didn't get to catch the game. But there was interference on the play, and had that interference not occurred it is likely a touchdown. So I don't think the advantage was massive. It should have been on the 8 instead of the one.

But then again, no call was made before that, because both players made contact with each other. That was a good no call as far as I'm concerned, and stuff like that doesn't get called the majority of the time.

I also don't know where the ball was released. If that was before the ball came out it's holding instead, and we would have clearly benefitted a little more from a one yard line spot.

But any time you have the receiver behind you and clearly grab like that should be called IMO. They don't all get called because they aren't all seen, but that doesn't make it not an obvious penalty.

Brady can get away with intentional grounding at least 3-4 times a game. They call Campbell for grounding for throwing a ball within 5 yds of a receiver and being outside the pocket. Granted Cleveland went on to score, but complete bullshit. And then there was the one where Josh Gordon possessed the ball going out of bounds.. and dropped it 5 steps out after hitting the yardage marker... COMPLETED CATCH. Yet the refs called it incomplete because he dropped it while going to the ground ... yes, after running into the marker...

and lastly ... They call the Browns for a complete BULLSHIT Unnecessary Roughness call on the TD prior to the onsides kick .. giving them the ball at the 50 (if they recovered, which they did), then gift them the PI...

It was also strange that Talib kept getting "holding" calls on Gordon, and rarely got the PI called. Yet, the Browns, they don't get the 5 yd holding call, they get the "ball will be placed at the 1 yd line" one...

It was a ticky tac call and I don't think it should have been called but it was. Browns get the onside kick which EVERY knew was coming and that would not have been an issue....
