I'm not sure who I would rank higher right now, Otto or Dunning.

It's close. Dunning has better stuff and his best is better than Otto's but Otto has decent starts more consistently than Dane.

Would love to have a situation where IMO Otto starts AAA and Dunning is your #5. But if they improve fine both stay up.
Otherwise we will have to be active in the trade market IMO

Ideally both improve and can be the #4 and #5 starters on a contending team.
I think realistically Dunning ends up as a #5 starter and Otto as a useful multi-inning reliever that can fill in the rotation in a pinch (once stretched out).

The best thing the Rangers can do for our starting pitching depth is go after relievers this offseason so that we can quit converting starters into relief pitchers before they prove they cannot start.

Now, in the future when we have guys like Leiter, Winn, White and others ready to come up and they need to move a starter to relief to make room, then that is fine. In other words, if there is an abundance of starters doing that is fine. Just don't let a shortage of relievers force your hand prematurely.

Think Perez will have an ERA around 3.25-3.40 and Lowe will have an OPS around 825-835 with 25 HRs. So...Lowe by a hair?
