Was not talking about Duggar. Talking about Woody not playing Josh Smith.
although i still think Josh is still unsure of himself in LF he should have been out there instead of Miller. Miller has sucked at the plate lately

Josh needs to play as much as possible. Sitting on the bench is not why he came up. Woody makes some strange moves at times.

Except for the last hit that moved Josh to 3rd.
The second baseman may have make the play though if Josh did not do the little move to shield the ball from the 2baseman

Besides Adolis it appears they all sucked at the plate last night for the most part, especially Seager. Seager could use a good couple days off.

Looking at next years free agent class there are only a few players I would want the Rangers to peruse.

Aaron Judge and then 1 pitcher out of Degrom, Rodon and Musgrove.

The Rangers should have about $40 million fall off the books and be at around a $100 million payroll going into 2023 without any additions.

We have plenty of young hungry bats coming up and don’t think we should focus too much there unless it’s someone like Aaron Judge.

I do believe we need to add one really great starting pitcher, maybe 2 if we don’t retain Perez.

The team is coming together really nice and they will have some payroll flexibility going into the offseason. It’s going to be exciting going into 2023 in my opinion.

I think we should add 2 pitchers.
Dunning and Otto probably have a 30% chance of underperforming. And others have a chance to underperform as well. Not to mention injuries. Can’t have enough pitching

I have always took a wait and see approach with SS Luisangel Acuna. He is starting to get my attention though. He has put together a great season thus far.

.325/.414/.548/.961

I am anxious to see if he can do this in AA before I officially get on board.

I’m anxious to see him in AA too! He’s an exciting prospect.

Owen White gets his first start at AA tonight!

What chance do the pitchers we acquire have to underperform?

It would be great if White hits the ground running in AA.

Yeah, it would be a crime to let Burke go 4 innings to start the game. He might actually prove that he could be a starter or something. We wouldn't want that.

On a scale from 0 to Nate Lowe's face, where do bullpen games rank?

Lots of moves are questionable with this FO and manager but the pitching ones seem significantly more so.......

We could have also signed a couple other vets as starters, in the event you had the Howard and Hearn debacles. After they lost out on Kershaw, they just abandon signing any starting pitching depth.

There’s a chance alright
I would imagine less of a chance than Otto or Dunning though or any scrap players or fringe guys.

It is weird they aren’t letting Burke start.
Maybe they’ll let Bush open it up and then Burke can go 4 innings after.

I’m really hoping Sunday night or Monday morning they call up Ragans to make the Monday start against the Royals

That would make sense. He would have enough rest. Perez on Monday, Gray could go Tuesday. Dunning on Wednesday. Thursdays an off day. Otto could go Friday. After that it’s 6 in a row. Maybe Ragans first start will come Tuesday July 5 against the Orioles?
That would give him another start in AAA in the mean time to verify he’s worthy lol
Eventually they will need someone to replace Hearn in the rotation.
