I know Lance Lynn had been out for a few months but in his 5 starts since he has been back he has had one really good game and his ERA is over 5. Have to see if he gets his MOJO going again.
Would perfer trading Lowe and bringing Huff back and keeping Garver for DH and backup catcher.I wonder if they will keep a third catcher when Huff comes up. I guess if they were willing to let Garver DH all year then they may go ahead and keep Viloria since Huff is much more versatile than Garver was
Garver will be out for the year after this weekend.Would perfer trading Lowe and bringing Huff back and keeping Garver for DH and backup catcher.
Yeah I shoud have said next yearGarver will be out for the year after this weekend.
Kershaw's age concerns me. I know Verlander is up there in age as well but he seems to be like a Nolan Ryan and holds up well over a long period of time. Both of those would cost a boatload of money. I like Musgrove, Rodon and Manaea. But that is just me.Sportsnaut has these pitchers as the top starting pitcher free agents that will be available in the offseason.
Musgrove
Rodon
DeGrom
Verlander
Kershaw
Manaea
Eovoldi
Bassitt
If we only sign one free agent starting pitcher, would you choose one of those three over Perez?Kershaw's age concerns me. JMO, Musgrove absolutely. If we only sign one free agent starting pitcher, would you choose one of those three over Perez?
Good question. Wonder if he could recapture some of the success he had with Texas last year.Kyle Gibson with a great start today. I wonder if the Rangers would be interested in him as a FA in 4 months.
knew that would catch your eyeIn mlbtraderumors.com article on the top 50 candidates to be traded, they didn't include the catcher the A's just traded unless I just missed it.
Besides Perez and Moore they had this list of Rangers at the bottom of the article under "others of note."
Rangers: Garrett Richards, Charlie Culberson, Kole Calhoun, Brad Miller
Why? I think they’re great. I love hearing old rangers talk about their career and interesting moments they experienced and it really brings me back. I remember the Burkett acquisition and thought it was fantastic what he did against the Yankees in the playoffs.Hate these interviews.
I think we should trade Perez. There is no way he keeps this up and he’s already showed signs of struggling recently. However if we can’t get much in return I guess we hang onto him.
Speaking of pitching. is there any chance where we give Richards or Moore an opportunity to start this season?
Was struggling for a while. Phillies shut out Cards yesterday and today.Kyle Gibson with a great start today. I wonder if the Rangers would be interested in him as a FA in 4 months.
