Never thought that this would happen at any time in 2016. Still a long way to go but the ride
will be interesting! The 1st place Phillies! At least for today!
In other news. The Phillies will be facing 6 right handed pitchers in a row. Will Joseph be used
as a pinch hitter only, or will he get at least two starts against some oh those righties. Tough decision
for Mack. Then again will Howard break out of his slump during this time. That would be a factor.
Howard is currently hitting .167.

Yeah, I think they have some AL games so with the DH Joseph may play some against RH--it's not like the bench is loaded with great left handed batters.

If I'm trying to get into 70's/80's rock, what can you recommend? I like Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan. Not a Beatles or Beach Boys guy

Yeah, on my Pink Floyd Pandora station, I've heard a little of both. I like Stairway to Heaven and Over The Hills and Far Away by Led Zeppelin. Those are the only two songs from them I could name off the top of my head. Any specific album from them that's good? Don't they have an album called like "IV" or something that people regard as a classic?

Queen I don't know a whole ton about. I don't like We Will Rock You and I had a friend who was obsessed with Bohemian Rhapsody, but I can't say for sure if I've ever heard it or not. Did they do Another One Bites The Dust? That one's kind of catchy

I probably sound like an uncultured idiot. "Yeah I've heard of Tom Hanks- wasn't he in Forest Hump or something?"

A sampling:
Led Zepplin - Physical Grafitti
Stones - Exile on Main Street
Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
Cream - Best of Cream, 1969, great especially when you're on drugs; best track White Room

From the eighties, Van Halen and Duran Duran. Also Bill Idol was hot around then.

Jvett's list looks good. If you like Floyd and Dylan then you probably like a lot of late 60's and 70's music. A lot of those same bands are still around but you need to listen to their earlier stuff. Eric Clapton was in a bunch of different bands in the 60's and 70's. He was in Blind Faith, which was a super group that just had one album, Cream, Derek and the Dominoes (they did that song Layla that you hear at the end of Goodfellas) and also his solo album Slowhand. Also, Jimi Hendrix was great.

That was just to amuse myself. If you were around in the 80's your first introduction to Tom Hanks would have been in a bad sitcom where he and his friend dressed up as women so they could live in a womens' boarding house or something

With all his money, I'm surprised Tom Hanks hasn't had all traces of this removed from existence

I just binge-watched the first two seasons. Amazing. I guess we're even now with me recommending The Wire to you a couple years ago

Yeah I like All Along The Watchtower from Hendrix, which is actually a cover of Bob Dylan's version I think. That would be my second favorite cover, right after Hurt by Johnny Cash from Nine Inch Nails

Yeah, the more you get into the older music the more you'll realize how many songs are actually cover songs.

I looked up Layla in Goodfellas and I saw something cool in the comments:
"Notice Pesci was taken to the house he was killed at in the same Buick he was taken to the field to be killed at in Casino?"

That's kind of weird. I don't remember that but I hate Casino and will never watch it again so I guess I'll have to take his word. Seriously, how do people like Casino? That movie started my hatred of Robert De Niro (and to a smaller extent- Sharon Stone)
