Rebuild done....It all starts with pitching
Reminder since Singleton just got brought up to Brewers MLB squad. Long road back for him
i guess so. but after 2 appearances and 3.2 innings I'm not so quickly sold on himI think the term you're looking for is Wishy-Washy...
Nor should we be.i guess so. but after 2 appearances and 3.2 innings I'm not so quickly sold on him
I think not long after he was traded here, many suggested they should make a reliever out of him because he was good for only an inning or two. We can't help it if it took the Rangers so long to see the light. LolIs this the same Howard that everyone on this board including me wanted DFA’ed just a few short weeks ago? All of sudden after a couple of appearances he’s the fair haired boy
I guess they haven't read that you cannot entertain trade offers before mid-July. What rebels they are.Royals Listening To Trade Offers On Scott Barlow
The Royals are listening to trade offers on reliever Scott Barlow, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN. It doesn't appear as …www.mlbtraderumors.com
From September of 2021There is a chance that Howard could turn into a great set up man or even a closer someday. It really looks like the pen is where his value lies. The sooner we give up on him as a starter and convert him to a reliever, the better.
That being said, I know they have to make sure he can't start first. Get him on a conditioning program this winter. Start him in Round Rock next year and see if he still has a drop in velocity and/or effectiveness after the third or fourth inning. If he does then send him to the pen.
Ohtani getting prison raped by the Astros is annoying. I was hoping we could beat the Mariners ace and gain in th Astros, but will have to settle for 1 out of 2.
I agree but 2 appearances & 3.2 innings doesn’t come close to satisfying me. If he can sustain it for 15 or 20 games then go for itI think not long after he was traded here, many suggested they should make a reliever out of him because he was good for only an inning or two. In seriousness, the present bullpen situation calls for trying a lot of things between now and July. Trying Howard in a role it seemed he was much more suited for, since before he was traded here, is met with both gratitude and hope.

Yeah, that's not the kind of trade everyone has in mind though. We just made a trade with the Dodgers too.Mets and Cubs just did a swap...
We need more bullpen pitchers ASAP though. That is exactly why we brought up Anderson when there hadn't been enough evidence at AAA to warrant a promotion. We had to take a chance and that has paid off so far.I agree but 2 appearances & 3.2 innings doesn’t come close to satisfying me. If he can sustain it for 15 or 20 games then go for it
He’s a good minor league pitcher. Sucks every time he gets called up. He would have to pitch well in the majors before I would want to keep him.
I don’t think he has a particular reliever in mind. Perhaps the bullpen in general over the past month or so. What has killed us is guys going out there, not confident in there stuff, nibbling or trying to throw a perfect pitch, failing to do so, walking lots of people, then get punished. So yeah I definitely heard that in the postgame
Which begs the question. Who pitched with fear? A lot of success starts with what is between your two ears and in the heart
JHern and even LeClerc Java a good arm. They just need to find some swagger back

bullpen really needs to cut down on the walks. So far Anderson has 0 and I like him better than some of our guys.
But with Anderson he had made 14 relief appearances and 1 start in 2023 and greater than 30 in 2022 so we had a fairly solid idea about himWe need more bullpen pitchers ASAP though. Desperate times and desperate measures and what not.
Hopefully it’s a good opportunity for us to win a game and blow out the mariners. The angels are shitting the bed in south texas and giving us nothing.
Well sure he has talent but maybe we get to him early.
