realizing that we didnt have our starting NT in the game, and we were doing a few things all over with personnel, All in all I like what i saw. Was wondering how they would use Jenkins. And that was rather nice to see him Rak Kerrigan and LFB on the field at the same time. I think we will see a better pass rush and an over all improvement in pass coverage as a result.

We might take a small step back in run defense, but over all I think our defense will be more balanced and better over all.

Question is, did the Titans have all their starting OL in? Also, they were aggressive which bit them later on big run plays.

Actually yes the titans were playing their starting lineup. I think we will find a balance this season. I dont expect us to hold teams to under 100 yards a game rushing.. but I also dont think we average over 350 yards a game given up through the air. I expect our sack total and out turn over numbers to improve. If we have a top ten offense, and a middle of the pack defense.. we will be fine I think.

I like the idea of having three pass rushers on the field at the same time. I believe Jim Haslett might just decide to do that on passing downs, sometimes. Sure, Perry Riley is a star in the making, but I believe having Rak, Kerrigan, and Jenkins on the field at the same time, could increase sacks and pressures. The bottom line is the pass-rushers need to get to the QB or disrupt his timing.
