well, aint to late to change em. Just let me know

Thanks, I mostly let the computer make my picks. But the scores it predicted were pretty much the spreads on some of them, and when that happens it's like :gaah:

The Oregon score I'm worried is too low though. So if you would change that one, that would be cool.

No, but we did have a dealer at one of our locations who is a duck fan get his car vandalized while he was at work. I mean leave a car outside of a casino in UW land with a giant zero sticker on it and wonder why it gets messed up after the game?

Still not cool.

I may be a giant douchebag but even I would never associate with someone who would act like that.

I'm a die hard dawg and always will be, but I don't display it on my car because there are assholes everywhere and being in this industry I have seen it many, many times. I was the director of surveillance for a casino for over 10 years. Can tell you most of the vandalized cars were revenge or sports related. Alcohol and idiots just don't mix.

In our business we call people who adorn their cars with enemy propaganda volunteer victims. Should you be able to have what you want and not face such things? Well of course. Still, being smart enough to know it does happen and not aiding the idiots is how you keep your shit safe.

I have an Alabama license plate on the front of my car and that's it. Which I guess is pretty brave considering I live in Tennessee.

Got a request about this so figure would help if everyone knew. Here are details of the current 2013 PAC bowl schedule, ramifications to it if a PAC school goes to the NCG, and the conference tie-ins for the non-BCS bowls. It was the best I could research from various sites and recent press releases, so if I got anything wrong or questions, jump in.

2013:
#1 Bowl Championship Series. Automatic berth to a BCS bowl game, preferentially the Rose Bowl versus Big Ten #1.
#2 Alamo Bowl (PAC12 vs. Big12 #3)
#3 Holiday Bowl (PAC12 vs. Big 12 #5)
#4 Sun Bowl (PAC12 vs. ACC #5)
#5 Las Vegas Bowl (PAC12 vs. MWC #1)
#6 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl (PAC12 vs. BYU (if bowl eligible) or ACC)
#7 New Mexico Bowl (PAC12 vs. MWC #4)

*The Bowl Championship Series consists of five games, the Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Sugar Bowl, as well as the BCS Championship Game. A composite system of computer rankings and human polls is used to rank the teams in the Division I–Football Bowl Subdivision. At the end of the season, the top two ranked teams meet in the championship game; the remaining eight slots are filled by the champions of six conferences (the Big Ten Conference, Pacific-12 Conference, Atlantic Coast Conference, Southeastern Conference, Big 12 Conference, and American Athletic Conference) and up to four "at-large" selections who finished the season ranked in the top 14 in the BCS rankings. The highest-ranked champion of a non-AQ conference will also receive an automatic berth if ranked in the top 12 or ranked in the top 16 and higher than at least one AQ conference champion.

Because Stanford was 11-2 (PAC champs) and Oregon 11-1 and with their final rankings/polls, both qualified for BCS bowls (Stanford @ Rose Bowl, and Oregon @ Fiesta).

Non-BCS:

All the bowls have contractual tie-ins to specific conferences (ex. Alamo Bowl PAC #2 vs. Big12 #3). There is usually never a problem filling these upper tier bowls with the primary tie-in conferences. But via the conference/bowl contract agreements, some bowls do have the right to move one spot down to pick another team from the same conferences. This clause was put in so bowls aren't forced to have the same team for multiple years (say UW qualified at #3 in the PAC for multiple years). The Holiday bowl could pass on us and take the #4 if they choose to). Some of these contracts say they can reach one spot down in the final conference rankings, not two. Some bowls even refuse this, and can take anyone from a conference with a 6-6 record. Call it the "money grab rule" which was green-lighted in 2010. Theoretically, the Alamo bowl can actually grab any team from the Big12 with a 6-6 record, once the BCS and Cotton bowls take the #1 and #2 from it.

But other bowls don't do this and have it built into their contracts. The Capital One Bowl is contractually obligated to select the best record Big10 #2 and SEC #2 teams that don't go to BCS games.

Non-BCS bowls also have (backup tie-ins) contractually built in. If a bowl cannot fill a slot with a primary tie-in conference, it has agreements with a backup conference. If that fails, the spot becomes completely open and can go to any eligible team. This scenario can occur if a conference doesn't have enough bowl eligible teams.

To be bowl eligible, teams must have at least a 6-6 record if they played 12 games. If you play 13 games, you must have a 7-6 record.

As long as 7 teams in the PAC go at least 6-6, all our primary bowl slots get filled. If Ducks go to the NCG this year, 8 PAC teams can go bowling. The #2 PAC team would still have to be BCS eligible to make the Rose Bowl, etc... If more than 8 teams have 6-6 records, the last ones could potentially be picked to other bowls as backup choices if those bowls can't fill slots with their primary conference choices.

2014:

The order of PAC bowls is changing, Big10 tie-ins added to Holiday and Kraft Fight Hunger, Buffalo Wild Wings bowl added, and possibly a brand new one in L.A replacing New Mexico.

The basic system for the playoffs is in place, but easily subject to tweaks. The playoff system is Top 1-4 in the country decided upon by the committee, and conferences do not matter with the selection process. If two teams from the same conference (SEC, PAC, etc..) are picked within 1-4, they both go to the playoffs. Nothing really changes for the rest of the BCS caliber teams and especially non-BCS bowls.

College playoff selection will occur first (#1-#4) teams in nation selected by the committee being currently created. If the Rose Bowl is one of the playoff semi-final sites that year, then that's the "Rose Bowl" game we get. Current assignment for the Rose bowl being a semi-final playoff site is: 2014, 2017, 2020, etc...

Years the Rose Bowl isn't a semi-final playoff location, then the Rose gets the highest ranked PAC/BIG10 teams that didn't go to the playoff and it's more like your traditional Rose Bowl.

#1 Rose Bowl (PAC12 vs. Big10) *years the bowl isn't hosting a playoff semi-final.
#2 Alamo Bowl (PAC12 vs. Big12 #3)
#3 Holiday Bowl (PAC12 vs. Big10) Big12 removed.
#4 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl (PAC12 vs. Big10) BYU removed. Used to be #6. Moving to the new 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, CA
#5 Sun Bowl (PAC12 vs. ACC #5)
#6 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl (PAC12 vs. Big12 #5) (Former Insight bowl. Held at Sun Devil Stadium)
#7 Vegas Bowl (PAC12 vs. MWC #1)
#8 New Mexico (PAC12 vs. MWC #4) *it's likely that the PAC is not going to renew its contract with this bowl for 2014. That replacement could be the in development "Christmas Bowl" to be held at the L.A. Coliseum in mid-Dec. BYU, MWC & PAC12 are in talks about being the alignment partners. The partners have to be in-place for NCAA certification to occur. Deadline is April, 2014 for this to happen.

PAC12 is going to keep to the 1-7or8 ranking system for its bowls, but given the varying contract agreements per bowl, there is some flexibility with who ends up where based on final PAC rankings.

So I think the order of 1-7 is set for 2014. But well see what happens with that 8th bowl.

the order for bowls is not a place system but rather an order of selection. the Pac 12 champion goes to the Rose or NC. after that I think the Alamo is the only bowl that takes a "place" team. meaning they get the team that is actually second place. (or third if Pac gets a BCS at large)
As for the rest it is simply order of selection and they can take who ever they want of bowl eligible teams. the Holiday doesn't have to take the 3rd place team if they would rather have the 5th place team for some reason. Sometimes ( I dont know all of the exact contract points for all the bowls) a Bowl must take the winningest team available. sometimes if they were to pass on the team that is 3rd place they can only select a team within a 1 win/loss difference.

so for example say USC finished at 9-4 and WSU finished 10-2 The Holiday bowl can take USC because well I would guess they would draw more and sell more tickets than WSU.

All I know about bowls is that El Peso and the Sun Bowl IS NOT an option for my Beavers...EVER AGAIN.

this is usually a day game so I am not upset when I am at work and all I miss is a fieldgoal by the rodents.
