Wiz,

Have you watched Stanford play?

They did look great in ASU game. No doubts.

But I will say this. The TEs are missed big time after watching the WSU Stanford replay. They dropped balls, WRs werent running good routes. Hogan looked just barely avg.

Defense played well.

But as a team they had some head scratching penalties that you usually dont see from Stanford.

Admittedly, I am nit picking. But I did see some flaws bigger than I expected from a very good team.

They usually lose 2 games a year since Harbaugh/Shaw era. Dont see that changing. See 2 losses both in conference play.
You are a hot mess with them man. You didn't like them, then you did, but you didn't like what you saw on Saturday, but they are too strong to lose. :what:

You don't have to convince me of anything. I'm already on record as saying I don't expect to win and their path to the CCG is easier than anyone else. However I don't think this is as cut and dry as you think.

It boils down to Price and how he performs. Stanford has probably the worst HFA in the conference. At least among the bigger players. No one fears that crowd. They do have a stronger defense, but no crowd to enhance it.

Which will be the best QB on the field that game. Easy to pick Hogan, but Price leads the pac in several QB stats including completion percentage. Given how many weapons he has if he gets on any kind of a roll it will be a long night for their D.

Which RB will be the best on the field that game. Is that even a question? Sankey is one of the top in the nation and so far Stanford hasn't impressed with their rushing.

Stanford has been showing a lot more of the spread sets in their last two games because they don't have the same stud TE's they had last year. UW doesn't fear the spread. Their base D is built to stop the spread and Shaq will tear up those short dunk routes. Stanford must do much better at their power run game if they are to win.

As I already said, Price and ASJ have to have bigger games this week and we all know UW has had their struggles on the road, but Stanford doesn't have much of a HFA.

That much of a lock? Nope, no sir. Not going to buy it.

Also, who is their second loss going to be against? Have you seen their schedule? They have no even moderately difficult road games so you are predicting they will lose to Oregon at home and who else at home?

If they beat UW as soundly as you claim they end the season undefeated. Bank on it.

They will lose one they arent supposed to like they did last year vs a mediocre team.

It wont be easy for them @ Corvallis.

ah, so you are predicting an all oregon beating of the cardinal. So noted.

That mediocre team you speak of played solid defense and is a much better defensive team this year than last.

You do know that Stanford also hasn't faced anything that resembles a test yet right? I mean ASU shit themselves for a full half before they even woke up and put their pads on (maxi pads at that lol).

Ask yourself which team has the most pressure in this game and who has the youngest players likely to be more effected by that pressure.

Just saying.

Hey man, I wouldnt mind seeing you all win. I really see a 10+ point Stanford win.

The mediocre team I spoke of wasnt the 2013 Huskies. Speaking of the 2012 7 win version. Who saw that coming outside of Seattle?

I have had that Beaver game vs Stanford as an upset since April. Not changing it just yet.

Side Note: Mannion is 7th in Heisman Pundits straw poll:omg:

Zero reason to think that is far fetched.

OSU gave Stanford fits last year @ Stanford.

And they are staring to play very well. Had they not overlooked EWU, Beavs are top 12 nationally.

You know I'm just playing devil's advocate. I think UW probably loses, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them win it either.

Curious though, you think Oregon State is playing better than UW?

The only real thing working against UW in this game is their history on the road. Not that this is insignificant, but they aren't underdogs because of some glaring weakness.

No, not now. But they have what it takes to pull a huge upset in Corvallis.

Stanford will be up for this game vs UW. I can see them struggling in Corvallis.

One of those things the football Gods bless the Beavs with. Winning games in Corvallis vs top 5 teams not named Oregon.

29-24 for Washington.

It started to respect Washington and UCLA this week. Maybe a bit too much I'm worried. But UCLA jumped up 53 spots into the top10 @ #7. And Washington jumped up 49 spots into #14.

Oregon benefited a bit from that as well, moving up 23 spots into their SoS. Moved them up to #6 overall, still a bit low but moving up.

Stanford for some reason it's been kinda sleepy on all year. Not down on them really, but not giving them top10 attention like human polls.

The crazy thing about that 100 pts crap is that traditionally it's struggled on the bigger spreads. Apparently not a problem this year.
