Hey Mamba -- can we have a betting line on how many posts the Oregon/ Washington game thread will generate. And how soon is too soon to set it up?

Holy crap I wouldn't know where to start.

If thread started on Sunday I would say the following Sunday before NFL kickoff after Ducks win....

I would set it @ 800 o/u

Then I am moving it to the PAC thread...:yahoo:

UCLA finally going to do a major upgrade on its FB facilities.

UCLA will begin a fundraising campaign to raise money to build a football training facility at Spaulding Field.

The facility is estimated to cost $50 million and will be built with private donations.

USC, Oregon and Washington are among the Pac-12 programs that have built new training facilities, which can boost recruiting efforts. Spaulding Field has received upgrades since Coach Jim Mora was hired. But he has sought a football house that would include a weight room, team rooms and coaches' offices.

"To be able to add a football facility that will help us with player development and growth is simply fantastic,”’ Mora said in a statement.

Athletic Director Dan Guerrero said the facility would “continue to propel UCLA football forward by allowing coaches and student-athletes to teach, learn and develop in a state-of-the-art facility.”

The Wasington vs BSU thread was a lot of fun in August. Let's start it soon in the general college football sec and let the fireworks start. But right now, all I'm thinking about is Zona.

K, But don't you guise have Stanford the week prior?

Oregon only has Colorado.

Maybe we wait til Saturday night.

Up to the majority.

My vote goes for starting it Saturday Night/Sunday Morning after our teams play Buffs and Cardinal.

And his current bowl projections:

VIZIO BCS National Championship: Oregon vs. BCS
Rose Bowl Game Presented by VIZIO: Stanford vs. Big Ten
Valero Alamo Bowl: UCLA vs. Big 12
Holiday Bowl: Washington vs. Big 12
Hyundai Sun Bowl: Arizona State vs. ACC
Las Vegas Bowl: Arizona vs. MWC
Fight Hunger Bowl: Washington State vs. BYU
Gildan New Mexico Bowl: USC vs. MWC
Pinstripe Bowl: Oregon State vs. American
Heart of Dallas Bowl: Utah vs. Conference USA

So our tenth place team, whoever that is, will have six wins?

I'm really disappointed with Asu this year! Why can't we run the ball!

Jahii, the last time ASU had a team that could really run the ball, you weren't even born yet. If you know anything about football, that's a question you should be able to answer based on three games played this year. So what are you disappointed with and why now?

It's after week 4 of the season, so take for what it's worth. I don't think the PAC will have 10 bowl eligible teams this year, but we did really well overall in OOC so we should have a very strong representation during bowl selection.

Hate to break it to you but all time Arizona is 47–38–1 against ASU in football. So we own you in both sports.

If you want to count wins over 100 years ago against Tempe Normal College be my guest....since becoming a university and leveling the playing field we're winning the series.

Good luck keeping a leash on OcD that long. Despite his assertion that after 9 years of beating UW it isn't a rivalry anymore he is purely obsessed with them and isn't likely to wait to start a game day thread for it. surprised he or donkey haven't started one already.

Arizona fans continue to make a big deal out of that, claiming victories over ASU from the Tempe Normal School and Arizona State Teacher's College days. Nevermind that University of Arizona alumni fought tooth and nail for years to keep what became ASU small and irrelevant. They still screw with ASU, i.e. blocking attempts at ASU opening a Medical School.

ASU started to become ASU with WW2 vets coming back to the valley and enrolling. The student population exploded over the next several years. In 1949, Arizona had a 20-2 record against Tempe Normal/ASC, etc. Since then ASU is 36-27-1 and I'm not so sure that very accurately describes how much better ASU has been in that time frame, as Arizona has had a lot of luck playing the spoiler, especially in the 80s.

You can read my take on this game on our board, but while we should feel confident about this game at home there are lots of questions that leave it far from a slam dunk.
