Kiffin's train wreck is fun to watch. I feel slightly bad for their fans up here, but not for the program overall. Only bad part about this is it will mean Kiffin isn't there next year.

Changing my tune from an earlier post. I honestly think Stanford will not cover. If the go up big in the first half, you will start to see Shaw start getting the younger guys reps, and calling an even more conservative game. My real concern is if the option throws of the rhythm of the defense.

Oregon runs the zone read and Stanford handles it just fine so I don't see any other type of option offense giving them problems. They stay home in their lanes and swarm to the ball about as good as any team in the conference at the very least. They may blow army out by 40 or beat them by 15. They have a history of playing up/down to their opponent and playing a slow and methodical game, but then army is bad. Take your poison.

I love that out of all of the games this week no one is questioning our picks on the ASU game, nor the Nebraska/UCLA game, no... they are questioning our logic on Stanford covering a big spread against a bad team. :burt:

If you want to call me a tard on a pick, at least make it a good game to argue about.

I find it funny that I think the ASU game will be a dogfight (that we will win because I'm a homer and the B1G sucks in Tempe) while a lot of non ASU fans think we will blow them out.

Of the games this week an argument could be made why the UW/Illinois game, ASU/Wisky, Nebraska/UCLA, and Oregon State/Utah could all go either way. It's still too early in the season to have a real feel for any of those 8 teams and anything is possible. The rest of the games could still be vastly different than expected in terms of ATS.

Wrong argument, Whiz. I'm picking Army to win.

Army beating Stanford would be something to talk about. That's for sure. I'd bet Kiffin would go for that about now.

Stanford doesn't care about points and running up score to please voters or vegas. They only care about winning and winning by 3 is fine with them.

True statement Whizzer, most coaches don't give a rats azz about a spread...They are more concerned about "living to fight another day" and staying injury free, while giving ALL their players a just to grow within their systems.:agree:

HEY SEATTLE!

We are coming...

BOOOO!

You may be fast... but guess what...

Shhhh. Decade. Here. We. Come.

What happens IF you get a "flat tire" along the way and loze that ballgame in Seattle? Gawd will "humility" be a NEW WERD in your vocabulary then? How much "back-peddling" will have to be done to undo the tangled web you have woven this year and the past 5 years?

Tough times lay ahead for those who see nothing but headlights ahead of themselves Mamba. Just sayin of course.:suds::whistle:

Could you imagine the drunken state Wazzy would be in if the Cougs ran the table this season and hit a BCS game, not cause the Cougs are in one, just for the fact Leach would be all over the national media...

Many a men have fallen to the "curse" of alcoholism and wazzy is well on his way to that distinction already.

BTW...

LOVE those WSU hemetz...bad azz for sure.

First of all I peg Mamba as the kind of guy who would survive the loss and still carry on like normal. He isn't the biggest chest pounding zero up here by any means. Sure, there will be a couple (who can go without names or initials) who will likely go hide for the rest of the year, but I can't see Mamba being one of them. Besides we will have an avi bet so he has to show up for at least a week after and wear his adidas gear. :yahoo:

Second of all, pretty much all zeros haven't learned the lesson of being over cocky about a college team. They haven't been at the head of the line long enough to learn that and it seems didn't pick that up after last season. Would just make it all that much more sweet. Those heartbreak tears over the loss of another natty run will be as tasty as the finest caviar. :suds:

this is truth. Sometimes the new kids that are kicking butt and haven't before don't know how to act.

We Duck fans are learning.

and by 'adidas gear' I meant 'loser gear' not actually an adidas avatar. If you don't go over the top on the one you pick for me I won't go there on you. I'll keep that in my back pocket just in case.
