We get CSN here too, but UW channel shows actual classes and lectures during the day and other real school stuff and several nights a week it shows classic sports. Maybe that's why the Pac12wa doesn't show them.

they used to have softy on here on the CSN channel. TG they got rid of him.

Now its all Portland shows and Duck and Beaver bidness.

B. COpy the shit outta the offensive philosophy.

If Sark was copying the shit outta anybody it was Noel Mazzone.
Oh yeah, and just a reminder.

No PAC team has a winning record vs Oregon this century...

USC got the 20th century bragging rights.

Oregon owns the PAC in the 21st until we are all taking dirt naps.

Well if you ignore the last 10 years we're the only team in the Pac with a winning record against USC :yahoo:

I got your back, but don't expect it every week mamba. So far I have entries from:
Wallace
Oly
Not Neutral
TF12
963busc
Ironbreaker
nativeweb
az sting
WH
Mamba
thedayman

And not neutral went both ways on the USC game, but there is no rule against that and az sting didn't give the final score for both, just the overall score. I'm assuming that leaves him out of the TB if it comes to it unless he fills that in?

Tidbit: Unanimous for ASU so far, only one didn't take Colorado, Only two took Virginia.

Everyone else get your picks in if you don't want to lose out on the overall season totals.

Sarkisian during an radio interview today:

When you decided to go to the hurry-up offense, was there anyone outside the program who’s counsel you kept on it?

A couple years back, Kevin Sumlin had come and visited with us when he was still at the University of Houston. Kevin and I have a good relationship and we (talked about) his thoughts and why he’d been doing it, and he’d been doing it for quite some time. I didn’t feel like at the time we were quite ready to make the change just from a depth standpoint. But I’ve always kind of held on to some of his thoughts and reasonings of why he did and why he continues to do it even today at Texas A&M. So he’d be the one guy who got me thinking the most about it.

Ya when you are moving as fast as UW on Saturday depth is so important.

More so on the defensive side of the ball. You have to keep guise fresh by subbing often.

Oregon's time of possession vs Nicholls was

Oregon 20 mins / Nicholls 40

66 points in less than 20 mins so that defense is always going to be on the field more that the O.

That is obviously an extreme case, but the Ducks never win top and could give a shit if they do. Same as all NHHU offenses.

Lots of guys still need to get picks in. You and oly are only ducks, vita needs to get his in, regent, wazzy. All good. I was just making sure people knew I had theirs if they already put it in and was giving not neutral a chance to change his weekly if doesn't want to leave it going both ways and for az sting to give us the final score for both teams as opposed to overall score.

If Sutton and Bradford can stay healthy I feel like we have a good chance to win the south we have a dominate defense imo.

That makes sense. I said Mazzone because Washington ran the zone read bubble play that Mazzone popularized as the OC at ASU. A lot of air raid coaches have started using it, Sumlin being one of them.

If USC can't get their shit together offensively by the time we play them the south is going to come down to the ASU UCLA game.

I'm not sure we know exactly how Sark is going to run this offense. They ran a lot of 4 receiver sets against Boise because of the match up problems and having our stud TE on suspension. He said he would be running more of their base offense in future games. Problem is they may prefer the pro set offense, but the up tempo forces you to shorten the number of plays you can run. You can bet they won't be running the read zone stuff Oregon does. KP can run, but after playing with banged up knees for the last two seasons I don't think they want him running too many plays. UW hasn't normally ran a lot of screens or out plays in recent years, but featured it heavily against Boise. Match up reasons or just other ways of wearing down the D in the up tempo? No idea. They had a true freshman and sophomore running on both outsides at WR and their savy vet in the slot. Those two kids are really fast. Could see a lot more quick throws to the outside with them in. Helps keep the D from stuffing the box and running a lot of inside blitzes.

Doubt we will learn much about their playbook in the next two games either. Probably a lot more vanilla stuff coming against those two teams.

And also including what WM said, you could really see how depth on your D is very critical to pull this off because if the Uptempo is rolling, your series are incredibly fast and your D will be out there for major minutes.

And once we finally broke the horses back in the last mins of the 3rd, you could see Sark ran a normal tempo O in the 4th which gave the D some needed air.

But nothing has radically changed with the O scheme itself. It still looked very much like the pro-style O Sark likes to run, just a uptempo version of it.

What I really liked was the addition of Ross at slot and the hybrid WR/RB abilities of Mikens. Great distribution to a crew of WRs, not just Williams. Love our depth at WR.

And don't even get me started on Sankey. Boise had no answer for him.
