field level suites just like husky stadium. They are a unique way to watch a game for sure.

The Cougs continue to put that PAC12 broadcast deal revenue to work on their facilities.

Cougar Football Facilities To Get New FieldTurf

VVMYLZMEXMDUSAL.20140612192711.jpg

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State is installing new FieldTurf to Martin Stadium and the Rogers Practice Field, WSU Director of Athletics Bill Moos announced on Thursday.

The updated FieldTurf will replace the turf that has been utilized at Martin Stadium since 2006 and on the practice field since 2010. The company, FieldTurf, will be putting down FieldTurf Revolution Fiber, the same surface used by the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink field, the New England Patriots, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

The surfaces of both WSU facilities will feature the iconic Cougar logo at midfield along with crimson end zones and will be completed in late July. The addition of the new turf coincides with the completion of the state-of-the-art, five-story Cougar Football Complex set in the west end of Martin Stadium and next to Rogers Practice Field.

“What began in 2011 with the construction of the premium seating addition at Martin Stadium, to the recently completed Cougar Football Complex, the football facilities at Washington State University have experienced a major facelift,” said Moos. “The final touches to this three-year transformation are new playing surfaces on both Martin Stadium and the Rogers Practice Field, which is now in full swing.”

I'm sure it's a cool view to see your team score across the goal line that close, but I would always prefer to sit on the sideline seating so you can see the plays clearly.

The endzone suites are getting added to more and more stadiums these days, but still, I wouldn't want them for an every game season ticket package, etc...

I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't mind being in one of those end zone suites every now and then, but I prefer to sit where I can see the whole field.

Anywhere between the 40's, about halfway up and I'm happy!!

Go ahead and laugh now, it will be just like this in 2016

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGbqLwbfu2M

Keep in mind, when USC and Bama were both on top of their Games, USC prevailed. Bama beat USC during those lean years, you know how that is… The early 2000, Doesn't that sorry ass team from westwood own your ass...

Maybe, but honestly I've never seen anything out of your current coach that made me think he was some elite coach. In fact, the funny thing about that whole situation is the coach you got was replaced with the coach you actually wanted.

Seen so many supposedly great coaches that went no where. We almost ended up with Rodriguez and "lost out" on him to Michigan. You'll be damn lucky if this Sark works out.

USC has a great base, but lets not pretend like it's some automatic thing that just because you get some scholarships back it's going to be the Pete Carroll era all over.

Just keep in mind 420, USC is NOT Meatchicken, Texas, OU or ND… When they are on their game, the opponent needs a Vince Young type performance to beat them, along with the Zebras help

Somebody is getting in trouble soon.
I have a friend who works for USC compliance. He recently went to a NCAA national convention in Orlando. he said most of the talks were of Oregon and Miami's on going sanctions, USC coming off this year and an "coming monster". He unfortunately wont elaborate.

Did they at least hint if it was a Pac thing? I'm kind of over seeing other teams in the pac get hit. Well, except Oregon of course. :becky:

Does anyone else have the feeling that if the NCAA botches one more major case it might be the last nail in the coffin for the NCAA as we know it?

I don't know about Oregons O line but given a choice I'd take Stanfords O line over any ones in the country in a heartbeat. I know they have lost some bodies but they have recruited that unit like no one else the past four years and I'm sure last years young backup who will be a starter this year is most likely a future NFL player.

I was at a tailgate for last year's PAC 12 CG and talking to Travis Hall's son who was a senior at Brophy High at the time. For those who don't remember Travis Hall was a stud D-lineman for the Atlanta Falcons a while back. His son AT is a big ole hoss of a kid, a 300 lb. O-lineman. He was proudly wearing Stanford gear and had just verballed them. I asked him if ASU ever truly had a chance at him. He just smiled and said, "No. Not really. I was just patiently waiting for Stanford. And when we spoke and they offered, I didn't even let them finish the question before I said yes. The opportunity to play for them as an O-lineman is a dream come true." There's a ton of talent in Phoenix, but ASU can never seem to keep the four and five star kids. Peat plays for Stanford too. He's a Phoenix kid, a former five star, and easily one of the best left tackles in the nation. My hope is that Graham can start getting these types of kids to stay and not leave the state.

He is one year behind Oregon's soon to emerge WR now 2014 110 Hurdle national champion freshman Devon Allen at Brophy

Can't see it being a PAC school. USC is just finished their sanctions and Oregon is still dealing with theirs. Mora seems to be running a fairly clean ship at UCLA, unless it's about one of our Bball programs.

Probably one of the other bigboy confs, but could always be related to bball too.

If Furd offers, it almost an instant "yes" from any recruit. Especially lineman considering how much emphasis they put on them there right now. Not to mention the ivy league level of alumni support you get when you graduate from there.

Regent it is not about alumni support (though every football, basketball and most coaching positions are endowed through donations), it is about the education. I almost transferred out of Stanford after my freshman year due to financial issues. I would ended up back home going to UW (would have broke my dad's heart to have a husky in the family). What swayed me was this, the information I would learn would be the same at both schools, however, at Stanford I was learning it (especially in my field) from the people writing the books and doing the biggest research. Additionally, you cannot underestimate how much being surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the country drives you to try harder.

There are some really great schools in the PAC, I would argue that of the big 5 there are fewer educational bottom feeders in the PAC than in any other conference. I would go so far as to argue that if you took the top 5-6 academic institutions in each major conference, no one comes close to the PAC in terms of education, research and innovation. Those of us that attended school in the PAC have all benefited from this educational arms race in the conference.

Honestly it could be anybody. The nature of these things are that we have no clues until these things come out. Any program could have some kid being a dipshit that sinks their ship.

I'm not saying there is anything likely in our conference, but it's impossible to rule out any program given how these things surface and how they exist to some degree at pretty much every major program. Boosters want to boost and these kids have so many temptations.

Was Billy Joe really a sign there were major corruptions at UW? Of course not. Was Bush really a sign there was institutional corruption at USC? These kids and their selfish caving in to the temptations can bring down literally any program at any time.

Im betting it isnt a pac school because of the way he said it. Not USC coming down. Not Oregon because he would have said something about me enjoying Oregon as is while I can which is what he said last time even though they havent skipped a beat. he made no mention of me liking it so prob not UW or OSU.

"Coming monster" would seem to indicate a top SEC school or maybe Notre Dame?
