How about Vegas?

Only stadium around there is UNLVs and it only sits 38K and dumpy.

As a location, Vegas would be ideal, but they don't have a stadium facility to support this yet.

I liked the home field aspect of it. College games are just better on campus. That is jsut a fact. Also is just intelligent to reward the team with a better season a home game. Going to a neutral site you increase the odds of a BS champion and make the game environment worse, outside of that its a great idea.

Personally I like going to the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship it's different, shakes things up and I've always had a good time.

santa clara isnt san fran....id expect the stadium to be as empty as the acc ccg games

Santa Clara is San Jose, and a good many of the sports fans in the bay area already live in San Jose and drive to the games to start with.

1. Community colleges don't count.
2. Get back to me when you have actually set foot on the plains and seen the "scenery".

Until then :stfu:

1. Wouldn't count Auburn anyway.

2. We all know the TP on the trees thing started as a collection so the town would have something to wipe all the cow shit up with. You guys can spin it all you want, but I know better.

Even though they're the Seahawks' rivals and I'm supposed to hate everything about them I really like the 49ers' new stadium. I'm a big fan of this move.

fans of who? the 49ers? stanford? sorry the allure of santa clara/san jose isnt san francisco and pac12 fanbases arent going to suddenly sellout the ccg because of this locale.

PAC12 commish Larry Scott held an ceremony at Levi's stadium today announcing an initial 3 year deal for it to host the PAC12 championship game.

I think it's a good call. A game of this importance needs to be held at a "neutral site" then your not worrying about home field advantage for one of the teams.

Yeah, I know the UNLV stadium ain't much, but I would think the Pac12 could work with Vegas on getting UNLV to upgrade the stadium (maybe UNLV a future Pac12 member? ) or go in on a full blown new stadium?

Vegas needs a legit football stadium anyway, and this could be a win win for both sides. I would look at the possibility if I were Larry Scott, and maybe he has already gone down that avenue and it wasn't feasible.

NEUTRAL SITE FOR PAC CG?

I personally liked having the game @ the teams home venue that "earned the right" to host that game by being the best team in the Pac during the regular season. With that right now gone who really knows what will happen with revenue generated and how likely students from competing schools will participate by being able to attend this CCG. Early December means classes are still going on so a neutral site seems likely to exclude active students from participating. This move of venue just shows how much money and corp support drives what use to be a "student athlete" environment and game. I understand that green cash now drives underfunded universities, but I still want that "old feeling" of the game to exist. Guess this old clown just needs to forget about the past and wilt under the new system. Same goes for the 8 +1 schedule system the rest of the country caves into. Fall in line or else kiss the the booty goodbye.

I will always have my schools 28 straight losing seasons to fall back on and the memories of lore that told me at least back then, we did it all "our way".
