It plays some of the best teams in the country away from home every year because we play SEC teams.

Last year we played(final AP rankings):

The #2 and #18 teams in the country in an away game. We played the #14 game at home, but the way that series seems to go, that was kinda scary as we seem to win more often when it's away, and they seem to win more often when it's home for us.

Is playing the #2 and #18 teams in the country in an away game not good enough for you? Oh that's right, you gotta pretend like only OOC games matters in order to cherry pick your data in order to have a case.

How did USC do I wonder? Well golly gee, not a single quality OOC game out of conference. Oh, you play Notre Dame every year right and it was home right? So how is that any different than a conference game? Because it lacks a label?

You did however play #11 Stanford and #16 UCLA in an away game, if we want to count conference games.

Sorry, but I think you are full of shit and should maybe apply the stupid shit you say to your own team before trying to throw that standard elsewhere.

Congrats for playing these SEC powerhouses in 2013. LOL
Geeze no wonder you needed to play Chattanooga late in November. Your boys must have been spent. LOL

Kentucky- (2-10)
Arkansas (3-8)
Tennessee- (5-7)
Mississippi State (7-6)

What a load of crap your SEC schedule was.

Yeah, maybe someday we'll get an in conference schedule as brutal as:

Washington St (6-7)
Utah (5-7)
Oregon St (7-6)
Cal (1-11)
Colorado (4-8)

Try this: Actually play a tougher schedule than the conference you are trying to shit on, then pull your pants down.

1. You're the one bragging about your brutal SEC schedule full of those SEC teams.
2. Those SEC teams had 17 wins , the pac 12 scrubs had 22. ( hilarious).

1/3. Which you obviously ignored when you made your list.
2. There were 5 teams in the Pac12 list, your SEC was 4 teams. That it's still only 5 more with 1 extra team is what is hilarious.

Umm now I know I am walking in the middle of this, but how exactly did Alabama only play 7 conference opponents? Did a game get canceled or something?

I guess you're not to bright either. 22>17

But I know that 5>4.
And I also know that if you pull out the team with the winning record, you are left with dog shit.
Is that what you are defending......"mr light bulb"

Bama fan- you'd have something to stand on if Alabama played some average teams away from home at least once in a while. A Syracuse a Fresno State an Oregon State. Some team who might have a few players . Instead Alabama plays the North texas- Florida Atlantics of the world ONLY at home. So no you don;t play Boise because of their Stadium. You don;t play anything close to a team who might give you a game away from home if you can help it. But it's funny reading you trying to deny this.

:agree:

I love these toads. Oh, I'll readily admit that my school isn't in the same league financially. These guys all seem to mix up the concept of sport with the concept of the corporate business model.

I'll readily admit that we don't play the same type of schedule. We can't. These cowards are too busy lining up the UT Chattanooga Choo Choos and the Florida International House of Pancakes.

Frankly, Alabama, and probably Florida are the worst offenders in this. But lots more do it. The concept of fair competition on a level playing field has probably never occurred to them. They decide who to play (and not to play) based on profit instead. It's a hell of a lot easier to make fun of a team doing everything it can to move up in the football world than, gasp, actually offer up a home & home. Yeah, yeah, I can hear it "why should we give pee wees like you the time of day?"

I'll tell you why, they just might come in and kick your ass. It's a total lose-lose for them. If they won, hey, they were supposed to. But gasp, if they lost, the self declared equivalence to the Almighty might be questioned. Nah, better to hire hookers to come in and lay down on the field, than schedule a team that would come in with every intention of getting a big fat elephant hide to tack up on the wall.

^ THAT and the fact the average Gump is willing to shell out his hard earned Moonshinin dollar and see the Pankcakers and the Choo Choos get thumped year after year.

Not even sure the average Gump knows what a Oregon State Beaver is, let alone how far the bus ride would take.

Bullshit.

Alabama has had one of the toughest schedules in the country, until the past 2 years. Of which I am always quick to point out.

Just because you say something over and over doesn't make it true.

Yes, just because you spew crap like this, doesn't make it true either.

I pulled up the Alabama schedules, they've been doing this since 2004.

Look, everyone will acknowledge that an SEC conference schedule is going to have tough games, every year. But one has to go back a long ways to see Alabama taking on the best in the country in true home and home contests outside of the South. The last one was 2002-3 against Oklahoma, the Tide lost both games.

NOW WE SEE WHY! When an SEC team does such a thing, they might LOSE! :(

Since then, Alabama has lined up mostly punching bags to play at home in the only games they control, those 4 non conference games. Oh, they'll play perhaps one decent team, but carefully arranged to be a very winnable one, like Penn St. or WVU teams that were a shadow of their former greatness. Or if they do play a good team, get in in a neutral game scenario in which your fans will greatly outnumber the foes, like in Atlanta or Jerry's World.

But every year, every stinking year, they play an FCS school, and an entire parade of weak FBS programs, a virtual bum of the month line up, all carefully placed between tough in conference games. Almost always, the week before the Iron Bowl is a hapless blood donor, for example.

But we get it, those 4 or maybe 5 tough conference games justify the cowardice in the OOC, right?

Vegas is about the only place that would make sense for fans. There will no need to rush and make plans on getting to Vegas or really to go through the headache of cancelling your rooms and flights since it is still Vegas. It will make more money in Santa Clara but eventually the conference should toss the fans a bone much like the basketball tournament.

How many college students are going to be able to afford to go to Santa Clara? Don't turn our CCG into the SEC game where it's just a bunch of lame alumni that makes the game sounds dead.

I agree with the game being at a neutral site. And Vegas is a place that make sense for fans. It is a true neutral site, right in the middle but not part of the PAC. What will you do in Santa Clara after the game? Vegas is a great place for a party like the CCG, a great place to celebrate or drown your sorrows and no question about facilities being available right there to handle any event. A great place for fans with mates that don't know a football from a beach ball, no trouble getting them to Vegas.

Alabama actually does schedule home and home on occasion.

They just back out of it 2 years later.

Isn't Boise State's OOC very similar to Alabama's? One tough game, the first one of the year, then a bunch of stiffs. Isn't that 4-5 tough conference games 3-4 more than what Boise St gets now?
