I lift. My friends have me convinced that cardio kills muscle gains, so I don't do cardio much. I don't see what is wrong with using the term jogging though

Here's the deal.........

Do your cardio after you work out or first thing in the morning before you eat because blood sugar levels are fundamental in metabolizing fat or catabolizing muscle. You need those sugar levels high to lift and low to fat burn. If you try to lift after doing cardio you will catabolize muscle. If you try cardio with high glycogen levels you will spend most of your 'cardio' time just expending your blood sugar levels and get very limited results burning fat stores.

Now, here is where I find most of the confusion coming from. Most often when people go to work out they confuse their warm-up with their cardio time and end up doing their cardio time first and then hit the weights.

This is ass backwards because you expel all your glycogen levels on cardio and really get no metabolic fat burning results and now have no blood sugar levels required to lift. (This will cause you to lose muscle). You really need your glycogen stores to lift. Once you expel them by lifting, then you can do your cardio and your body has no choice but to use your fat stores. (You will also spend less cardio time and get much better fat loss results)

Also, if you are doing the exercise bike or some other cardio machine, stay away from the 'hills' or 'climbing levels'. (Those are for all the people who don't lift) Find a level that gives you some resistance because all you really need is a high intensity effort to get your heart rate up. (Kind of like running as fast as you can for as long as you can) With no blood sugar levles, believe me, if wont be far however the intensity will maximized. This will tax your 'endurance levels' quickly, which plays a fundamental role in reducing fat stores yet limits muscle catabolism.

Again, make sure to warm up before lifting and I always recommend stretching too (This will prevent those lifting injuries). I hope this helped out because health wise, cardio is far better for you then lifting would ever be in most cases.

I wasn't drunk last night, but I did have a good buzz going. I still don't think I said anything delete worthy. My cartman moment wasn't serious and Mamba should know that by now. (Screw you guys, I'm going home). As I said, does anyone think I could actually stay away without being forced off the board?

Traffic is bad up here, but that's because more people live here and there are actually places to go here. There is a reason it is so populated. As I said, my beef isn't with the Oregon coast. It's their bigger cities (if you can call them that). Well the cops on their coast aren't fun either, but they have speed traps everywhere down there. You understand why no one with Oregon plates can drive up here after you spend a few days in that state.

UW new unis - TERRIBLE. But then I'm an old school jackass that hates all of these new changes. Hate unicolor uniforms. I'll miss the stripped gold pants. Those are husky football to me. Of the 3 the blacks are the least offensive to me I guess.

And as for lurkers, or at least the site stats for non registered users, I wonder how many of them are crawlers and bots. I know on some of the boards I ran I could filter out the web crawlers out of the site stats, but I have no experience with vBulletin. If the crawlers aren't filtered out then a huge portion of those page reads are caused by them. We know they allow the crawlers because the hoop comes up in google searches all the time.

I'm used to the nice 4 way intersections and where all of the streets run parallel but Seattle with the water and the mountains never seemed to go for that hole parallel street thing. Of course it takes me an hour to drive 30 miles home each night and 1.5 if I leave during rush hour so who am I to talk.

Depends on what area you are in. Lots of parts of Seattle are laid out logically. It's mostly the older parts that aren't. Still way better than Tacoma. That city should just be blown up and start over from scratch. Their highways are as confusing as hell.

Of course you are laughing donkey, and so will every other duck until your run is over. We know you all believe this is how you will roll for the next 100 years, but history says not only no, but HELL no. No other team outside of USC has been able to keep a long run going, or rebuilt to a new run after a brief period of being down. NONE

The closest to that is UCLA and UW. Both have built/rebuilt eras more often than the rest of you. Just a fact.

What you are going through now is a slightly better version of WSU in the early 2k's. Might have lasted a little longer, but will end in the same result as theirs. UW? Not a chance they stay down. Way too many reasons for them to have an easier road than most other schools for getting back up again.

Your laughs are going to turn to tears and suicide watches for much of your base in the next couple of years. And we are going to enjoy every bit of those salty treats. Your fans will have earned every bit of what you will get from us. Just remember it was your fans being assholes for this run that will cause what you are going to receive. What comes around goes around and your invoice is coming due.
