The philosophy of a fan should always be to see his / her team make the conference title game. Seriously what kind of fan doesn't want the best for their team?

No, the Philosophy should be to see your team win, every game. That is what is expected as a Trojan fan

I understand the bigger picture. But I don't think getting to the CCG this year is worth cheering for ucla.
I'm not sure what to make of this post, ..... Why would 'this year' be any different from any other regarding 'worth'?

Obviously putting your rival hate aside has a price tag.

I'm just unclear of the costs that bring value or not.

Washington has better coaches than SC and is out recruiting them. The Huskies own this conference like a cheap $20 Compton crack h0 and you better get used to it because from now on Chris Petersen is holding paper on the PAC.

Chris Petersen Rejects USC Again, is Steve Sarkisian the Front-Runner?

I'm not going to brag about Enumclaw education ... but ya I am.

Any Washington fan with an IQ above a peanut would pull for their rival if it meant putting Washington into the conference championship game.

Aww, makes sense. We got ourselves a horse fucker over here. I knew there were some dots that hadn't connected yet.

Because with a rivalry, there is no big picture. There is only enjoying your rivals pain. Do you realize that we have had 2 perfect Trojan Saturdays in a row? We won and UCLA and the Domers both lost!!
People will always have their own perceptions on how they view rivalries . I prefer to see the rivalry played on the field between the rivals. When the two teams aren't playing our rivals games don't hold any significance to me. Unless it directly effects USC as far as rankings or standings. In which case. I want to see the result that benefits USC' as a team. I was taught V is for victory and I want to see SC playing for titles. If that means rooting for UCLA to beat a team that serves a purpose for SC. I will always want what is best for SC. And truth be told a rival winning a game that advances SC is much more of a loss for them. Then losing a game that costs SC.

I would find it to be worse to win a game that helped UCLA succeed. Than to lose one that eliminated UCLA. A UCLA loss that takes USC out of contention. Is a loss for SC to me. And in the end the goal is victory. A UCLA win against a opponent other than USC that leads to a PAC south championship, Conference championship or rose bowl is win win IMO .

I do like that SC is heading in the right direction. I like what they have done with Darnold at QB. But I can't say I don't want SC to go as far as they can. I would rather see a USC championship than a meaningless UCLA loss to Utah . But this is just my opinion .

That guy was originally from California ... try again.

Does it matter where the dude that died was from? People paid money to get railed by a horse in Enumclaw..that's on you dude not California. But kudos, most people from Enumclaw can't use a computer let alone troll.

Well the philosophy ought to be not judging others off such narrow criteria. Hell, judging what it means to be a fan to someone else at all is probably not something most reasonably intelligent people would care to engage in.

There are those incapable of seeing others outside of self. To them theirs is the only ideals that make sense and everyone else outside of them is inferior. You cannot reason with people with these disorders.

Top 10 QBs in college football through Week 6
TOP 10 QBS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL THROUGH WEEK 6

4. Jake Browning, Washington Huskies
No quarterback has earned a better passer rating this season than Browning, who after a very impressive true freshman season has the Huskies poised for a playoff run with his strong play in his second year. His 77.3 percent adjusted completion rate is fourth in the country, and he has been excellent when the opponent’s pass rush gets to him, and has a near-perfect passer rating of 147.1 when blitzed, completing 35 of 45 throws for 441 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions.
