First career start... just had some jitters he had to get out of the way. He's looked really good the last couple drives.

Meh, haven't seen anything to be impressed of yet, but it's first half of the first game so you can't tell that much.

I think Solomon looks exceptional for his first NCAA game so far. Granted its UNLV but the kid looks good.

I've been going back and forth with other games including baseball, but saw their two scores and one was totally just busted coverage (wouldn't happen vs most Pac D's) and the other was a decent play. Still, this is against UNLV and the offense I've seen Zona run in the past was much more suited to score up big on those kinds of schools. Again, just the first half of the first game. Not drawing conclusions, just saying there's a lot of room for improvement. Maybe they will pick it up second half.

Damn, I was worried about taking the buffs too given how well CSU did against WSU in the bowl last year and how much no one should EVER bet on colorado for anything.

Hard to take too much from a first game. Didn't see it so maybe you can tell me how many young kids got major game time, but that first game jitters is real even for second or third year players. I would assume your defense was more staying in gaps etc than being ran over. One you can fix, the other not so much.

ASU had something like 5 or 6 freshmen and sophomore defensive linemen getting their first PT, a true freshman starter at Will to go with 2 sophomore LBs that have about a half dozen starts, 2 freshman corners and a 2 JuCo corners in the DB rotation and a redshirt freshman starting at safety for an injured redshirt freshman starter at safety, who did play some but was only recently cleared for contact.

ASU had something like 5 or 6 freshmen and sophomore defensive linemen getting their first PT, a true freshman starter at Will to go with 2 sophomore LBs that have about a half dozen starts, 2 freshman corners and a 2 JuCo corners in the DB rotation and a redshirt freshman starting at safety for an injured redshirt freshman starter at safety, who did play some but was only recently cleared for contact.

So as I said then, chalk it up to first game jitters and hope those coaches can get them focused and their mistakes cleaned up before Pac play. It's much easier to deal with just first year issues than simply kids that are over matched.

Unlike WSU that is. That defense was getting ran over by Rutgers. You can't coach up not getting flattened by bigger/faster/stronger kids. And it's Rutgers ffs. Stanford is going to bury a few of those kids.

Disappointed with WSU. They are the Cougs, but I was hoping from better from them. We are rivals, but I still pull to them when they're not playing UW.

As far as the Sark being a racist thing, that's just bullshit.

I heard a lot of things from people in the athletic department and close to the team/players and Sark was not well liked by a lot of players, but I NEVER heard of him being called a racist. Pompous? Yes. Two-faced? Yes. Racist? No way.

Probably just some brat who didn't get his way and saw it as racism. Kid needs to shut the fuck up. These days, throwing around allegations like that can end a career. Just because he's a little whiny brat doesn't mean he has to trash/make shit up about Sark because the door hit him on his vagina on his way out.

I don't like Sark, but I've never heard anything about him being a racist.
