It was hard to grasp just how young ASU was going to be on defense until you saw just how many true freshmen, redshirt freshmen and sophomores they were playing. On the bright side, the 2016 defense is going to be a bunch of killers. I've got concerns about 2014 though, especially up front. I don't care how talented they are, freshmen linemen tend to struggle.

He's really good. The offense should be fine, but you can't go out there planning to win games 45-35. I don't think we'll be able to stop the run between the tackles. Just sayin'.

Sure there is. Spread option doesn't mean "only run outside". USC, UCLA, Arizona and obviously Stanford will want to punch it up the middle if it's there to be had. Presumably Washington too.

ASU's defense did not impress me one bit last night. They should be concerned... if Weber State can create big plays against them at home then what's going to happen when they play against a legit Pac-12 offense?

Their offense impressed me, though. Probably should've scored a couple more TD's than they did, but they were just shaking off some rust.

Hard to take too much from a first game. Didn't see it so maybe you can tell me how many young kids got major game time, but that first game jitters is real even for second or third year players. I would assume your defense was more staying in gaps etc than being ran over. One you can fix, the other not so much.
