Maybe mamba is unaware that the Ducks DC is 53.
Now according to WM that makes dem Duckies DC a fossil with a PAC age of 90!

Besides that tf, the B1g 10's Luke Fickell didn't need much experience to stop the PAC's top rated offense in the NT game last year now did he! :dhd:
You don't get it. Pellum has been coaching for decades against PAC offenses.

This fossil fUCLA hired had success in b1g. And then went to WV? Worst defenses in cfb last few years.

I suppose anything is better than a guy that quits in the middle of a game vs Oregon though.

Thing is, Bruins didn't hire Fickell. Also, UCLA isn't Ohio.

There is some truth to what you say. However, 58 isn't exactly a fossil. Monte Kiffin was a fossil. The way I look at coaching hires is the guy who looks the best on paper, isn't always the best guy for a particular program.

I don't know if Bradley was the best on paper that UCLA looked at (I don't know who else they did look at), but if Mora thinks that he fits what UCLA wants to do defensively, he may be the right guy for them, even if he's not necessarily the best on paper.

The age 58 really only slightly attributes to why I call him a fossil.

I just don't think we should pretend every hire made is a good one.

Celebrating mediocrity imo.

I am sure he will go away from the dirty play aspect that Ulbrich implemented. Seems like UCLA was more interested in being intimidators and "bad boys" than actually scheming a defense that can slow down some teams.

So there is that take away from the hire. A little silver lining for the sake of humanity.

Every coaching hire IS a good one until proven otherwise. Coaches are hired because someone believes they are the best fit for the program. It's not like they're looking for the worst hire possible. Mora feels that Bradley is the right guy, so it's a good hire for UCLA right now.

If it turns out he sucks, then it won't be a good hire. I remember when most thought Monte Kiffin was a great hire and the real reason that Lane was hired. Then we all learned 2 things:

1.) The "Tampa 2" doesn't work in college (at least not in the PAC).
2.) He was unable to adjust his defense or come up with one more suited to the college game.

Then what is the rest of your criteria needed to use the term "fossil". Or is that comment just to save some wiggle room if he gets here and kicks azz?

My god.

The last thing Ducks honks should be doing is calling Bradley a fossil and ragging Big10 defenses considering the biblical shit packing a Big10 team delivered to Nike U. a few weeks ago. Especially what their defense did!

The only memories Ducks will have of that game is...

Dont' go hammer's law on us Ducky. Subject was Duck honks making cracks about Big10 defenses and what Bradley brings to UCLA and the PAC. I groaned when I heard about this hire and any of the the other 11 PAC teams should smartly be doing so if they know anything about what this guy has accomplished, especially as the Penn St. DC.

Of course Cali is their bread and butter pipeline for recruits, but UCLA already has that pipeline well established. UCLA is also a team that recruits nationally, and that suits Bradley very well.

From 2004 to 2011 Penn State’s defense ranked 3rd in the nation in Scoring Defense (16.4 ppf) and was 5th in Total Defense (298.7ypg). In 2009, the Nittany Lions ranked in the Top 15 nationally in the six primary defensive categories. Additionally, from 2004 to 2009 Penn State finished in the Top 15 in Total and Scoring Defense. From 2004 through most of the 2011 season, Penn State held 53 of its 88 opponents to 17 points or fewer.

Bradley has coached 18 All-Americans, 43 All-Conference players and helped 51 student-athletes reach the National Football League. The All-Americans included: LaVar Arrington (LB/1998-99); Navarro Bowman (LB/2009); James Boyd (S/2000); Courtney Brown (DE/1999); Shane Conlon (LB/1985-86); Dan Connor (LB/2006-07); Tamba Hali (DE/2005); Kim Herring (S/1996); David Macklin (CB/1998); O.J. McDuffie (WR/1992); Paul Posluszny (LB/2005-06); Brandon Short (LB/1999); Alan Zemaitis (DB/2005); Michael Zordich (S/1985).

I can respect that and know that Tom Bradley is a major get for UCLA. He coaches exactly the same type of big physcial defense that Ohio State used to crush the Ducks. Your going to see his mark already at work as the 2016 class builds. Watch.

Look at Fuskys trying to gain favor with lowly fUCLA.

LMAO.

That is an all time low.

Catch up has been PAC schools (Udud / fUCLA).

Jerking off over B1G hires are a victory for forward thinking PAC schools.

The hilarity in Fuaky fans grasping onto anything with potential of being positive for a school that actually has a chance to overthrow Oregon is fucking hillarious.

Since they have zero shot.

#11inArow

I will be there in Fusky Stadium for #12. After the 12th straight blowout I am gonna piss on a Fusky shirt. Believe that.

Rainbow right back attcha Duck. I have no love for tUCLA or Mora. But I got enough brains to respect what Bradley brings to a team like UCLA and what it means for their defense in the long run. If you didn't already delete in a drunken depressed rage from your DVR, rewatch your stunning offensive performance vs. a Big10 team in your recent game. That's the type of defense he runs. How'd all that "speed, speed, speed" work out for you?

How depressing is it Fusky?

To be skull drug by Oregon 11 straight years? To have to hang off of a NC team as a saving grace because your team is a shit show?

No wonder yall blow your heads off up there. lmao
