Big hit to the cougs class.

Gardena (Calif) Serra 3-star WR Deontay Burnett has flipped from WashingtonState to Michigan during his official visit this weekend. ASU was also trying to do this.

Beavs are finishing strong with a big commit from 3-star ILB Christian Folau (SLC, UT). Utah, Wisky, Oklahoma st., and Cal had offers to him.

Heard the Beavs might only have 15 commits by next wednesday...sounds like GA is headed for the JC pool of talent next. :noidea:

I think ASU after Burnett may have been more an attempt at enticing Rasheem Green. That would have made 2 of the Serra guys to ASU this year as they already have Scrappy Norman.

CB Kareem Orr to ASU. Nice offer list, some people seem to think very highly of him. Allegedly came down to Ohio State and ASU, but tOSU was sort of Johnny Come Lately in the process.

Sounds like we may have just received the commitment from Jay Jay Wilson, too.

Next three days are big for PAC12 recruiting. USC, UCLA, and Oregon still have multiple commit slots to fill and are trying to orchestrate it for maximum hype on Wednesday with strong finishes. There should be lots of late movement in the class rankings for those PAC teams by LOI. Most of the other PAC classes are close to set.

That being said:

Oregon still committed to speed, speed, speed.

4-star APB Kirk Merritt (Destrehan, LA) committed to the Ducks. Offers included Tex A&M, Auburn, Alabama, and ASU.

4-star ATH Jay Jay Wilson commited to ASU. Offers included Colorado, Utah, Minnesota, and Oregon St.

3-star CB Kareem Orr (Chattanooga, TN) committed to ASU. Offers included Indiana and Cincinnati

4-star OG Darrin Paulo (Sacramento, CA) committed to Utah. This is considered a bit of a shocker as Oregon and Nebraska were considered the heavy favs.

3-star WDE Gabe Reid (Provo, UT) committed to Stanford. Another shocker as BYU was considered the lock for him right up until the end. He qualified for Stanford recently and pulled the trigger.

As for Washington, our class is sitting at 24 and not expecting any of them to be flipped at this hour, so were about done. The two main names that are still in play are RB Chris Warren and OLB Mika Tafua.

4-star Chris Warren would be a absolute game changer for Washington's running game, but Texas will probably get him. He has ties to both areas, but being closer to home in Texas is looking like the call.

4-star Mika Tafua (Makawao, HI) is a big hitter who had committed to BYU recently, but Washington is now considered one of the favorites to land him. Oregon, USC, and Vandy were also offering him.

Washington should end up with 25 commits + 2 grey shirts. It's a nice looking class so lots to be positive about the new coaching staffs first full year of recruiting in the PAC.

According to Fansided USC has 20 players signed or committed (5 signed and 15 committed). On the "hot board" are:

Rasheem Green 5* DL
Inman Marshall 5* DB
Porter Gustin 4* OLB
John Houston 4* OLB
Tyrone Wheatley 4* TE
Kevin Scott 3* DT

USC also got a "preferred walk-on" commitment from Serra QB Caleb Wilson who will actually play tight end. He is 6'5" 212 so he has tight end size. He is the son of USC Defensive Line coach Chris Wilson. He will have to pay tuition initially, but once his father reaches 2 years of service at USC (January 2016) then he can take advantage of a free tuition benefit that employees or their family members have available to them.

Essentially, it gives USC a scholarship worthy player without having to use a scholarship.

That one was a bit surprising.

.

I think Porter Gustin is announcing his choice in about 30 minutes. Looks like he is close between ASU and USC. Be a good pick-up for either school.

Usc can have the best recruiting class, but at the end of the day Sarkisian is still their coach.

This is shaping up to be a monster USC recruiting class. The rest of the nation needs to stand up and take notice. :gaah:

Yeah, we were already considered in the top 3 by most recruiting sites, this should help maintain that spot and depending on what happens tomorrow, could help give us the #1 recruiting class.

Regardless though, these guys will need to come in and perform or all of this will mean nothing.

That is very true. We've seen what the Hurricane coaches have done with elite talent.
