Exactly. I remember when Manti Te'o had his signing day. Everyone and their brother had him going to USC and then on signing day, he picks up the Notre Dame hat.

We may have dodged a bullet on that one though. It may have meant USC having a fake dead girlfriend to go along with Josh Shaw's fake drowning nephew.

:pound:Yeah...Maybe Manti's Fake GF and something to do with the fake drowning.

Was he? Our side thought we had a pretty good chance up until the last couple weeks, but who knows? He'll be very good. Re the Carroll era, there were some decent games, but even when we were close, we could never close the deal. Derek Hagan suddenly catching the drops. Knocking Leinart out of the game and taking a nice lead into the half, only to give up like 300 yards on the ground in the 2nd half to Bush and LenDale. Carroll just had our number- And really good football teams.

A couple weeks back he sent out a tweet giving the "fork-em devils" sign I know it got a lot of ASU fans excited.

Oregon Linebacker Verbal Commits: Fotu Leiato (3-star from Steilacoom, Washington), Paris Bostick (3-star from Santa Monica, California)

Oregon's Remaining Linebacker targets: John Houston (4-star from Gardena, California), Josh Smith (4-star from Murfreesboro, Tennessee), Jonah Moi (3-star from Redlands, California)

I believe that out of these, Josh Smith and Jonah Moi come to Eugene along with Leiato and Bostick.

just confirming, I believe Oregon has won two PAC titles and two Rose Bowls since USC won their last PAC title?

Oregon has actually won 4 Pac titles since USC won their last one.

 @Oregon taking advantage of USC being down for 5+ years to get 2 PAC titles and 2 Rose Bowls. Way to take advantage of that "window of opportunity." You guys sure nailed it.:pound:

3-star JUCO OLB Jonah Moi (Riverside C.C., CA) as committed to Oregon.

It's Christmas in Febuary boys. LOI day. One of those days that helps you get over the spring and summer no football times.

And now MM is gone, sanctions have been served, Oregon has lost another big one: a new day is dawning. Keep your history books handy.

They said the same thing when Dennis Dixon and Darron Thomas left.

Those two werent Heisman winners and in case you didnt notice USC was on probation and you still didnt win anything on the national stage even with MM. Two Rose bowls right? In your history right? USC was in five (one being the NCG) and won four between 2004-2009. You know when they weren't on probation. So between 2004 ans 2009 USC won twice as many Rose Bowls as Oregon has in a hundred years.

I think Oregon won the Rose Bowl in 1917 as well, they should have three Rose Bowl wins. (Penn, Wisconsin, and FSU).

That is a fact. Throw in a Fiesta Bowl win over K-State as well.
Dennis Dixon was the leading candidate for the Heisman before he was injured if you don't remember as well.

oregon won Pac titles before MM and will win them after.
But you must be pretty excited Arizona State is coming up on their 10 year mark so they should be right there in the next couple. First year in was 77 and they won it in 86, 96, and shared it in 07.

Looks like the Beavers will finish in the 60 something area of FSB recruiting...I can handle this. We raided Utah and flipped a few from Byu, ASU and Wisconsin.

Still a very good job by Anderson just to get in the mid-level here with the amount of time on the job.

Whole new O and D system coming to State after Riley's departure. That's a good thing with the quality of recruits we get here. I loved the "pro-style" of offense Riley had, but he took that as far as he could...Beavers never got over the hump with it, time to try something new here.

Not sure what to expect for a 1st year coach and his team, but my expectation bar has been set on "low" while the transformation happens.
