Trevor Bauer, the 2020 NL Cy Young Award winner, has agreed to a deal with the Dodgers. Sources told ESPN the agreement is for three years, $102 million, including a $40 million salary in 2021 and $45 million in 2022.

Yep. He’s full of crap.
Him trying to push a sugarcoated spin out there is not only lame and laughable, but disingenuous at best.

That said, I’m hoping they use some of the money they saved on him to go towards getting JBjr. as well as maybe extending a few current contracts.

I really wish they would just announce DH in the NL at this point. I think JBJ would already be signed if it was confirmed.

I just don’t understand why the front office continues to drag their feet on JBjr.
Hopefully it’s not due to the looming final decision on the DH.
Dude would be a nice upgrade in CF regardless...which will also create more roster flexibility and options.

NEW YORK -- For most of this offseason, the Mets worked to get stronger up the middle. They acquired Francisco Lindor to play shortstop, shifted Jeff McNeil to second base and signed James McCann to work behind the plate. Now, the Mets have multiple possibilities in center field as well.
