All salt is a form of calcium. It's the continuing freeze/ thaws that tear the concrete up. Calcium chloride is corrosive too. You should see what it does to rebar or wire mesh after a couple years.
In one of our contractor meetings that ready mix companies give, they said you could put a pile of straight salt on concrete and let it sit on there all year and it wouldn't effect it one bit.

you should see what the salt in the air, etc in KW does to concrete... we used to watch the area under the stilts sweat and pile up salt....my folks had to have all the concrete chipped out to get to the rebar, to reseal the shit then reconcrete it... I'm so glad they moved to TN...

its the baby on board signs that I thought makes it ironic .. she is so concerned about the childs safty and then she texts while driving.. what could be so important that you have to risk the childs and everyone elses safty about .. that you cant do when you get home
