Appliances are the worst now. You used to get 15 years out of Fridges, washer/dryers and that kind of shit.
Now you're lucky to get 7 or 8.

No shit!!!
My home is only 11 yrs old.
Everything new here then, and my Jenn Air fridge has been repaired 3 times...WTF?
And it's not like it was the cheapest one on the market.
Pisses me off now that I think about it.

Kinda makes for no brand name loyalty....

Must say though, I have always been very happy with the quality of Weber grills.
Probably made in China now but???

Same here, we built ours in '01 and have had AC fixed, new fridge, washer x2, dryer and new pipes put in our well, because the original driller had put plastic pipes in and they couldn't handle the torque from the 1hp well head.

Yrs. ago had a Char Broil...... Maybe three yrs. Rusted and garbage.
Last Weber, 14 years, and still like new. Granted new grates somewhere along the line, but igniter still worked great, burners still perfect.
Shit, sold it for $100
Now have a new Genesis, but almost never use it cause I use my Treager almost always........
