I dont know him too well either, but I understand he is fairly solid, and a massive upgrade from Lilja, Walker, Bourdon, and Marshall

Burns is like 5m a year and I believe the common consensus in the western cinference is that he's over rated. I'd put him well below Yandle, Suter & Weber. I don't think burns would be cheap either.

What do you guys think it would take to get Phaneuf?

Paul Martin could be had on the cheap, maybe a half bag of used pucks and a warm body to play forward?

I agree with that just so we can boo him. BOO URNS

I just wanted to say that. I don't really have a good enough scouting report on him.

i've watched a decent amount of brent burns this season (i have a couple friends that are sharks fans, so we watch the flyers then sharks every now and then)

he really hasn't impressed me that much.. he looks huge out there but i havent seen a whole lot of hitting from him for a guy his size.. he does have a cannon of a shot and jumps in to the play a lot though

if it took heatley to get him on the sharks, i dont wanna give up what it would take to get him to philly

While I slept during the game tonight (Yes, blasphemy) I dreamed we got a dman. Unfortunatley he was made up, and in his first game he got injured. So that is all I remember.

In all honesty I'd consider Jack Johnson of the Kings. He signed a cap friendly extension & the Kings are desparate for some scoring help. LA is deep on defense. They can simply call Voynov back up.

JJ would be welcome, but the question is what is the asking price? I don't see him as an elite type player who commands a kings ransom in return but I wouldn't expect him to go for peanuts either.

I think the price would be too high. He's a very good players, young, and signed at a bargain for now.

Aaron Johnson for The Blue Jackets is very solid but plays on a crappy team, could be had for cheap me thinks...

The amount of options Homer and his staff are mulling over right now must be incredible.

Who stays...who goes.

Now or later.

Affordability vs Sensibility

Long term or short.

...and, on and on and on. Maaan....I'd kill to sit in his seat right now. :cool2:

looks like the flyers are focused on suter and the preds are focused on keeping weber

i'm also not sure that would be a competitive offer, weber is arguably the best d-man in the game right now, and he's like 24

I'll take suter for that offer also.
