I'm not saying it was squeaky clean. It's hard to guess intent in cases like that. Sometimes it's incredibly easy, this one isn't. He has a reputation now though...even though that means squat to the league unless he gets suspended. Has he been suspended for these ever?

He got away with one of those in the WCF a couple of years ago against the Yotes, iirc - on the next shift, Dustin Penner scored the series clincher in OT and the Kings were off to the Finals.

The tinfoil hat on top of my head suggests that the NHL is concerned about the record number of suspensions and thus has given a couple of guys lately a free pass.

Didn't mention this in here, but Jayson Megna is gone for six weeks after his run in with Bernier in the Toronto game. My guess is MCL.

Marian Gaborik got 8 minutes into his return when he got sammiched by Coburn and Rinaldo (Bit of a head hunt by Rinaldo) and broke his collarbone. He is out 2 months at least.

No Olympics for Gabby and he will return right around the trade deadline.

Incredibly bad...erhm...break. Saw the video. Nothing incredibly dirty, but certainly not necessary, was "blindside" and caught his head. But, mostly bad luck. Crazy.

Yeah, I don't know anybody could possibly be hurt by an Islander. Physical play hasn't been a strong point this year.
