Jarmo's gonna have to make a move for sure. They are kinda stocked with young D, and they have an allegedly elite winger that they will not keep at the deadline.

They needed a reliable backup for just this reason. Tabasco is a solid AHL goalie, and moderately serviceable NHL backup, but he can not handle the load. I am almost wondering if they should bring up Jeremy Smith and see what happens. He's the most mature of their three options. McKenna is a little rough around the edges, although he is currently at 1.45GAA and .944sv% in Springfield.

Dansk and Forsberg are still a year or two away.


Only thing I can hope is that the Leafs really want Gaborik and the mayor is sharing the crack pipe.

Maybe St Louis is convinced that Elliott is the man and is ready to let Halak go.

I think they have a bevy of goalies in Anaheim, since Hiller is a UFA, you shouldn't have to give up too much to get him and he's more than adequate. Of course, the Ducks will probably be reluctant to let him go.

Wasn't thinking of them... Andersen, Fasth, Hiller and Gibson? Hmmmmm... Hiller might be exactly what the Jackets need. Even before Bob got hurt.

Gaborik should be attractive to the Ducks, and they might be able to keep him this summer. And Erixon should be able to crack their lineup with the injuries they've had...

Erixon will never get the chance he wants here. And Gaborik is not going to stay.
